Hello, does anyone have the wiring information for the Odometer/clock/speedometer wiring. I would like to send and verify voltage to the Odometer motor. it may be the electric odometer motor is bad. There are about 10 wires going to the Odometer printed circuit board. I would like to know what color wire does what??? thanks Charles
Per the Mondial 8 wiring diagram: Pin 1 - green - impulse generator (speedometer) 2 - red - no connection (wire goes to check control) 3 - light blue striped red - to open door marker light (switched power for some lights) 4 - black - to lights switch 5 - red striped black - impulse generator (speedometer) 6 - yellow - instrument lights 7 - pink striped yellow - fused power 8 - green striped white - switched power from ignition 9 - blue - service due mileage sensor Tom
Thanks sjtom for the color coding. This may not work, what I want to do is add power to one of the odometer wires(use a 9 volt transister battery) and see if the odometer numbers advance and or listen for the odometer motor to turn. If no current gets to the odometer then there is aproblem with the printed circuit board.???
I don't see why even a small battery voltage source shouldn't move the motor somewhat, and is probably a good idea since current would be limited. There is a small white molex type connector to the lower left of the motor (looking at the back of the unit) that can be disconnected to isolate the motor from the circuit board (red/blue wires appear to be for the motor) to see if the motor is good. Otherwise, you'd need the impulse sensor input to activate the odometer motor. Tom
