Need new tires for the 308. They still have the original tires, let me if I could widen the rears or what would be the optimal tire sizes for the stock 16" rims.

    Thank again.

The "optimal" tire size probably depends on what you are going to use the car for. (track vs casual)
The PO of my car had wider wheels and tires on the car and it was awful to steer at low speeds, felt like a big old truck. I bought what I consider to be the best tire for the 308, the Goodyear F1's and went with stock tire sizes on the OEM 16" wheels. It made a HUGE difference in the feel and drivability of the car, you'd swear it had power steering, it is so much easier to drive. I just use mine for Weekend cruises, so maximum cornering isn't necessary but the F1's, even in stock sizes, are amazing at cornering and very quiet too.

I have the 'stock' size tires on my 16'' wheels. As for tire type I'm running Pirelli P Zeros and am quite pleased with their performance and ride quality. I think it's a 205 in front and a 225 in the rear....but I'm not the best at remembering those things ;)

The correct, stock size is 205/55-16 and 225/50-16. Common upgrade is 225/50-16 and 245/45-16.
