Bud Ekins, R.I.P.

I just read that Bud Ekins passed away in October. I spent a week with him on location for a television series in Tempe, Arizona where there wasn't much call for his enormous courage and talent, so we spent a lot of down time talking quietly about cars, bikes, movies and women. It was during one of these sessions he came out with one of the most memorable quotes regarding women I've ever heard, which, unfortunately, is entirely unquotable here.

He was as close to being a 'regular guy' as anyone you'd ever meet in the movie business and a great guy to sit around and shoot the breeze with.
