    Sideways where ?

If you mean on dirt, anymore, only a small handful came from a 'lengthy' dirt background, and few from the last 5 years.

I think Jeff Gordon would have been a better choise. That kid was in a 700hp open wheeled sprint car at 13 yrs old and winning. He does exelent on road courses, a great talent. If he would have gone to open wheels instead of nascar he would have been a multiple champioin there too.
Would have been great in F1 IMO!

    Cheers!

Who cares about NASCAR or Jimmie Johnson. Travis Pastrana, twice over US rally champ, showed why he deserved to be there. Next year they need to add big XGames rally jump or score double backflips.

Those @#$%s! It was 1pm on the 30th and noon on the 3rd. Now both slots are listed as SEMA show coverage (1 hr) plus a road report on a Toyota Land Cruiser (1/2 hr).

Somebody at Speed programming is actively trying to drive off viewers. Who the heck is going to tune to "Speed TV" to see a review of a neurosis-mobile? ("it must be safe -- it's big")

While Billy Bo Bob Ricer-go-Round viewer might be more gullible, you'd think a few of the sponsors would like to attract viewers with actual incomes.

Now I'm annoyed that I missed the ROC part off the web. At least I saw the Nation's cup on the 22 inch monior. (Except the two times I had to reboot to un-hang IE.)

We've got to renew the campaign to get Eurosport picked up on DirecTV.

On reflection, it looks like Nascrud TV only intended to air the ROC if the offal tracker did better. Pastrana didn't do that badly, but see Johnson's results for yourself.

But they're looking at it wrong:
In the Nations' Cup, little Jimmy got a chance to run against one of the best racing drivers of all time: a record seven time world champion.

But it still looks like they don't *want* any viewers whose attention span extends beyond Charlotte or Winston-Salem.

I think he was brought in for the German team.
