But not the Mondial. While I am not an aficiando about supercharging Ferraris, I am getting a centrifically supercharged two seat vehicle this week which produces 800 hp at 44 inches MAP at 2550 rpm from 1300 cubic inches. AND...the Ferrari should HOPEFULLY (FINALLY) get it's big valve ported heads this week - the 10.5: pistons are in as are the tubi headers, Speis racing cams and Weber 44 DCNF. Friends, if the Lord smiles on me, I may have achieved a lifelong dream and be in internal combustion heaven in 2008 for which I am truly thankful. Merry Christmas to all!!! yes - a relatively lightweight A model that has lost almost 800 pounds in mil equipment (inverters, radios, etc) and has the 3 blade prop conversion. Appreciate the thought - we hope it works out as well! You can follow the story from the beginning through ppi on AviatorChat here: http://www.aviatorchat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6534#post6534 Mark E. and I often rib each other good naturedly as most know on carbs vs supercharging of our middie V-8 Ferraris, so he is getting his revenge as I concede the point at least in this one. I still say that somehow an angelic Italian chorus of Webers on a Ferrari still seems a better than a whiney supercharger... anyone can turn up boost but it requires an artistic elegance to tune flow of all the components... Best to all for Happy Holidays!!!
I get 2100 feet per minute climb rate with a normally aspirated engine already, in a craft that cruises 135 mph at 23 mpg, seating 4 people.... Now try THAT in a Ferrari or T-28 Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes, but your plane did not come from the factory with a 'Master Arm' switch... obtw - beautiful car and plane! - a Robin or Jodel?
Why I love Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T-28-...ayphotohosting "Want the 'right stuff' for your T-28? A complete and original North American Aviation armament kit, NEW and in the crate. Includes everything seen in the photo's. Gun pods, rocket rails, bomb racks, center pedestal etcetera... This is the real deal, not a replica. They are in excellent condition, No restoration needed. Just plug and play! You can LEGALLY AVIATE with these installed! NO SPECIAL PERMISSION / PAPERWORK / FLIGHT TESTING REQUIRED AS WOULD BE WITH REPLICA STUFF! ("in accordance with approved technical orders"...) This may be the only one left in captivity... Don't miss this opportunity to be the first kid on your block to get one! This is packed in a large crate, and as such will ship motor freight. Therefore Shipping is at buyers expense. All reasonable offers will be considered. Obviously these items are probably not eligible for export, so DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BUY!" What a hoot! Now, back to Ferraris... Image Unavailable, Please Login
