or shadows lurking in the background!! Personally i think they were told to take a dive in the last round. It seems so odd they got it wrong so badly. As a Ferrari F! fan since the early 70's nothing pleased me more though.

F1 is supposed to be the pinnancle of engineering excellence. Not everybody follows the drivers from team to team. I don't, do you?

So i suspect the majority like the "mechanical " aspects of the sport, the clever innovations etc. I find it fascinating, but unfortunately the FIA seem hell bent on reducing costs to the detrimate of freedom to the engineer.

I once read an article by an authoritive race engineer who said " the more rules that are applied the more ways we think of screwing them"

So my answer would to set a clear defined area for the car, height width and weight. Engine capacity not less than a V12 (sound glorious), 4 wheels and get on with it.

    Now that would be interesting

It is. But he is too preoccupied with beating up on Dennis and limiting engine specs for the next ten years.

Exactly. I personally could not care less about the legal side, I want quality racing and quality F1 cars.
Excellent point ... wish I could 'type' making this much clear sense.
It has to, because ALL teams benefit and thus the sport as a whole benefits ... hence why I still believe the FIA over reacted against McLaren. Was it right and morally correct ... heck no. Did it do any harm ... NO! Everybody thinks everybody involved with F1 is a lying rich elitist snob as it is (thanks to Bernie), nothing has changed :).
NO please don't even hint at this :(.

This may have already been mentioned, apologies if it has.

McLaren has just employed a new PR/Press officer. Matt Bishop, ex-editor of F1 Racing magazine. Now Matt Bishop is rather good friends with Max Mosely, having convinced him to right a column for the magazine.

McLaren haven't admitted anything. Matt obviously convinced Max to call off the hounds after McLaren if they gave a formal and public apology. McLaren have jumped at the chance for obvious reasons.
