I can't believe there are car guys out there who haven't gone above 122 MPH. I have done it many times at the track and on an open road.

Ok, the ones who answered no must be among the younger crowd that haven't yet taken the wheel - or they're lying.

ANYONE who is a car enthusiast - I will categorically state that curiousity has gotten the better of them AT SOME POINT and they have traveled well into triple digit speeds just "to see".

An indicated 150 (fourth gear) on a deserted stretch of two-lane backroad, on a couple of different sportbikes I have owned.

At 122 those things are barely breathing hard.

One time a few years ago my wife and I were each travelling to the same destination, she was in her car and I was on the bike. It turned into a sort of game to see if she could get away from me in 60 miles of a different backroad. There were several minutes where I was over 122 trying to catch her after I was stuck behind a truck for a couple of miles. Somewhat ironically, we were going to my grandfather's funeral.

I never really thought of what would have happenned to our licenses (not to mention insurance) if we both had gotten caught that day.

    Yeah, 129 in my car. 145 a couple times in my friend's B5 S4.

122 in the driveway, Simon?! You mean 1.22 mph? Your driveway is anti-automobile! :p

Hmmmm, had the McLaren F1 for three days to drive. What do you think??????????

Look at my avatar. 0-168 in 8.9 seconds.......all the time.
Too many other times to mention, including the time I had to tell my wife to slow down the 750iL after seeing she was over 145 mph...........
