Who would be interested in a drive down to Fairchild in February for the Roy Lichtenstein exhibit of sculptures at the gardens. I talked to them and they can probably arrange a private tour for us. Group rate starts at 20 people. The drive is super nice through the grove.

    Thoughts?

very cool - and I can, with a straight face, tell Marle it isn't a "car" event. She seems to think that I need more culture (even though I eat yogurt every day).

I am a huge Lichtenstein fan. Have one hanging in my livingroom.

Although in general I agree with you that female nudity (and I want to be clear on the female part...) is art, I rather see a real Lichtenstein than a fake Dr. 90210. But then, that is just me :D

    I'm in.

I went to the Dale Chihuly exhibit at Fairchild last year and it was quite nice. The glass sculptures were beautiful, especially at dusk, they had music going and were selling a little vino. Add that to the intrinsic beauty of the gardens and it is a great outing, especially with a girlfriend/spouse.

Damn, I think that was the date of the wedding I was too attend. But then a cruise through Fairchild Gardens sounds so much more less frightening.
