Apparently, 2 years of dating is a long time to tweens except for the fact dating at 14 years old is about as serious as Ferrari turning the 430 Scuderia into a something completely different from its purpose.

Nick does need to fire her, but won't. They've stated the show will go on.

 

Nick has a PR nightmare.... Season 3 is just finishing, and season 4 has already been shot. So they have the shows in the "can", now just need to wiggle a way to justify showing her squeaky clean audience a 4th season of shows tainted by a teen pregnancy.

I agree that it's hard to draw comparisons between the two groups. Personally, I don't think you'd see much of a change in pregnancy rates if WNBA players were earning NBA money but that's pure speculation on my part.

This sorta thing shouldn't be condoned on any channel. We all know things like this are happening, but we still shouldn't be sending the message that it is ok. I should know, when i was 22 I got my 20 yr old gf pregnant. I love my son, but wow has it changed my life. At that age you are only capable of thinking so far in the future.

 

Today they said the couple is no longer together and has'nt been for awhile with no plans to marry, she only asked her mom to be present during delivery.

Where did you hear she was worth $50 mil? I don't see it by a long shot, I would be suprised if she was worth $5 mil on her own.

 

The way I read Mark's response, he was implying that she could have been worth $50m if she would have been able to milk the gravy train she's on for a while longer. Getting pregnant derailed that train and the buckets of cash it was carrying.

But yes, I was looking at her 5 year career as a teen role model (like her sister the Spears seem to do best before they hit 22)

As for the financial aspect- Reminds me of Tiger Woods in the sense that his winnings on the PGA tour were only 12 million....but he made over $100 million, its not what you do in your day job that brings in the big bucks, it the marketing of your image to sell watches, razors, and clothes

You have all of these "stars" having kids out of wed-lock. Kids think it's okay now.

We also have full grown ****ing adults who want to start having sex-ed talks in pre-school!! WTF!!! They're gonna be pregnant by middle school.

I went to a high school with quite a lot of pregnant students. One girl had 3 kids by the time we graduated. 3!!!!

The only thing I have to say about this, is at least she didn't have an abortion.

 

It's probably a publicity stunt (get pregnant & get famous!)... after all, I didn't know Britney had a sister until now. See, it works!

I doubt this was a publicity stunt. Lil' Spears is dependant upon an entirely different income stream than big sister, so this pregnancy is going to put the brakes on her earning potential.

 

We all know she probably isn't too worried about the money. Big sister will probably help her with everything, and probably teach her how to avoid the successful guys (Justin Timberlake) and go right for the dead beat losers (Kevin Federline).

 

I think you've got that one backwards. Can you imagine how differently Timberlake's life would be if he was still stuck with her?

 

I see, he meant future earning potential which I agree she definetely derailed with this stunt....
