I sincerely believe that a big part of the reason she has gotten the way she is, is because of the media. Some people can't handle that kind of stress, it probably just got to her. They surround her like a pack of wolves and leave her no breathing room. Can you imagine going out every day, KNOWING that you won't have a moment of privacy. I know a lot of other celebrities deal with it, but it seems as soon as she made one mistake, they started following her even more and more, and it turned into one giant snowball. I feel bad for her.
yep.... they were talking about statutory rape depending on what state she was in when she got prego. Law in CA is older or younger than other state she was in with her boyfriend. Nothing will happen but the Cable News networks have to make-up crap to keep ratings up. I didn't even know Spears had a younger sister... and now its all over the News like a National Headliner, you'd think it was Prez Bush's daughter LOL
TMZ said she got knocked up in Louisiana while the the bf was living with her and her mom, could be a BS story to cover their as*es legally since La probably has a younger age of consent....What kind of parent lets a 19 year old guy move in to pound their 16 year old daughter on a daily basis?
The kind that get their child rearing chronicles shelved just before the printing presses are fired up.
Brit has more than enough cash and residual income to disappear if she wants to. The media is like a drug for her. There may be some nasty side effects, but the attention is very addicting. Her mom should hold off on the Pulitzer pursuit and drag her daughter(s) out of the spotlight for a while.
Having the BF around kept Uncle Bubba or Cousin Billy Bob from banging her. Just southern logic. Mom was just protecting her daughter.
Come on, haven't you heard her new song? It doesn't matter if she slips away to the Philippines, they're still gonna put pictures of her derrière in the magazines... What? It's a good dance song...
Age of consent is 17 here so it would still be illegal. I've heard that here in LA if the parents of minor are ok with it than it isn't illegal. I don't really see how that would be ok but I've heard of stranger things around here.
Why wouldn't it be okay in that case? Minors can't make decisions themselves (so says the courts) so parents make them for them. If parents give the okay, how is it illegal? It's only about consent and the parents gave it on behalf of their daughter.
It may be within the law but I don't like the idea of it. It seems like something that could lead to abuse and parents can hide behind their consent.
I agree, but they can't fire her because she got preggo. No matter her age or how embarrassing it is for them. That's highly illegal and she could sue them back to the stone age. I'm guessing they will just continue to give her a check till her contract runs out, but not tape any more episodes.
+1 Hannah Montana is only getting like $1.5 million a year or something weak like that. Jamie is NOT making more than Hannah Montanta. That's for sure. I do know "Zoey" is not pulling in $50MM for her. That's more than Britany, and about 5x more than Reese Witherspoon makes a year. And Reese is the highest paid female celeb. I guarantee Reese could buy Jamie Spears with the loose change in her wallet.
You didn't read the post where we explained... She has an estimated worth over her career's run as a teen star. She has the #1 show on Nick. She is a gold mine for 9-14 year olds when it comes to marketing. She was in the rare class with Hannah where she could put her name on anything and it will sell ( just like Ferrari and their laptops computers LOL )_ I'll say it again.... Tiger Woods only makes $12 million on PGA tour.... but he pulls in $100 million a year...because he sells his name to car company, clothing companies, sports drinks, and all kinds of other junk. If you have the top name brand in any category you are a cash machine. Jamie had just hit this level and was poised for a sweet run over the next five years.... all that is now gone. It was not her show, talent, our busines smarts... it was her squeaky clean image that was worth the big bucks in marketing. Just ask Kobe Bryant when he lost his McDonalds contract. Its not about the Basketball, it was about his public image as a super guy.
Who is Hannah Montana? They keep saying that name on CBS and that if viewers don't know who she is, they don't have any teenage kids (I don't).
