Is it possible to use it everyday without suffering small faults and failures? Is servicing and wear and tear the only obstacle, or will it just be impossible due to its width and vandal factor. Can it replace a 911/M6 as an everyday car?

I replaced my 911 with a 360 and its not in the same league as a daily driver.
    There are several issues.

    1) ride comfort is lacking
    2) noise is massively louder
    3) parking is harder
    4) "blending in" is almost impossible
    5) cost of running is massively greater

It took me a while to get to grips with the 360 after the porsche but mainly i think that was due too the suspension not being perfect which was quickly sorted out by migliore cars who replaced the front and rear control arms and since then its been perfect.
The car is harsh to drive and the attension it grabs is astonishing, you just cant drive anywhere without people takins pics etc which was never the case with the porka.
Then cost, the porsche was cheap to run, 30+mpg on a run was no problem and the change of speed was lovely and quiet !!! The porsche was under £300 for a service whereas the ferrari is around a grand.

As a daily driver i personally dont think the ferrari is a good choice although im told there are plenty of them around 80,000m+ and going strong.
In an ideal world you would have the ferrari for fun and a daily driver for commuting.

This doesnt supprise me, afterall it will not be as civilised as a normal everyday car, but the big question is whether its worth the inconvinience in order to drive a 360 everyday? Or does it after a few weeks get a little too much?

    Andrew,

You cannot use the 360 as an everyday car because of the jealousy factor - everyone automatically assumes your a multi-millionare. Just even driving through Merseyside (Garston actually) once I was sat at traffic lights and I saw this with my own eyes.

This incident was a couple of years ago now, at around 3pm in the afternoon, I had driven past a junior school and was sitting there at the lights. A nasty kid threw a half full bottle of Ribena juice (thankfully a plastic bottle!!!) at the car in a fit of jealousy and hatred. (He was only about 10 yrs old!). It bounced off the cars rear glass window but that just shows you the kind of resentment this car has on the street.

Its a toy, a weekend fun car, not an everyday driver. I'd hate to leave it parked up just anywhere, dont expect it to still be there (undamaged) when you return.

    I've had a completely different experience. I found that;

    1) I cannot understand this. The ride comfort was VERY soft on the standard car. Actually seemed a little too soft for me.
I'd go so far as to say it needs to be uprated 15-20% stiffer to reduce body roll!
    2) Noise was so quiet on the standard car that I had to replace the factory muffler with a Capristo so I could hear it!
Having said that I alway felt the stock Porsche sounds like a hair drier until its had a proper system fitted.
    3) Parking is harder because you need to restrict yourself to secure parking and the like.
    4) 100% agree. You cannot blend in anywhere with this car!
    5) The cost thing is manageable, go to an independent specialist like Pro-sport Ferrari and you won't pay the earth.
Go to the main dealer and prepare to have your pants pulled down.

Yes but this could have happended with many cars, but I agree that the jealousy factor is becoming more and more serious as our society's morality deteriorates. I cant understand how some guys can drive a Ferrari or Lambo Spyder with the roof down, in traffic and not be fazed by the abuse that people throw at them.
But back to the point, is the car MECHANICALLY capable of everyday driving, parking (does it have sensors?), stop start in traffic?

Doesnt have parking sensors but I've seen a couple of 360's (including one 360CS owner) that had them retro fitted into the bumpers by a dealer. Simple and reasonable cost to get done if you can live with the look of the sensors poking out.

Mechanically I think you'll be ok - consumables such as tires, air filters, oil filters, oil, spark plugs and brake pads are not actually that expensive. You COULD do high mileage (but you'd be killed on the resale value - nobody wants a high mileage Ferrari), after that its where to park thats the problem.

Correct with Easier but its still all relative!!!

I wouldn't drive my 360 around in all this crappy weather, fog and road salt/crap... at least 3 months to go before mine comes out from under its red cover.

Must be an "out of London" thing, I alternate between the 430 and Gallardo everyday for driving to work and have only once ever had an issue (and that was from that moron David Cameron laying into me at the lights beside the House of Commons about how I was destroying the environment)
I used to use a 360 spider daily and never had any real issues, sure the cost is higher than driving a Porsche, but it's so much more fun
