This is all very true, and the VIN is seeming to be the biggest obstacle. However, I do appreciate how you all are advising against the Challenge idea due mostly to its horrible ride. Public streets would be vicious on this type of car. Interesting, all the same though.

Mine does. You can't just take the dealership test you have to have an actual place of business and it has to be a certain size.

The key is getting it titled as an earlier year car. I have a '1967' Ginetta that has antique plates. The DMV never required to have the car visually inspected or have any emmisions, bumpers, etc... It looks to have been built more recently, but the Factory Five Cobras also get earlier year titles (based on the year of the original design I guess). That would be hard to do with a 360 CH, but good luck anyway.

Prez. Jon of Guam ....... I knew this would happen....

I really do think this can be done. I have driven many cars without any Maryland St. inspection simply on a D-Tag... Is it possible to just go to a dealership and... pay-em-off for a "long term" dealer-plate?

Even though all of this is hypothetical, it does seem the biggest problem in this mess. Truly, getting the car on the road may not be the biggest issue so long as hitting somebody does not happen. When the thing slides off the road and into a parked car, what do I say?

Georgia does not issue titles on vehicles older than 1985. if you do not give them a title when you register it in the sate, they will NOT ever issue you one. if your state requires a title, they will issue you one or provide some legal form to your state so that you can get a title.

if you have a title for an older car, they are required to issue you a GA title. but they dont like doing it, and hate Ferrari / Lambo vin numbers as the titles have to be manually printed.

anything before 85 here can be registered on a napkin and be legal. i have done bills of sale on McDonalds napkins for old camaros ands trans ams before.

    :)
