I recently purchased a book that I think would be of interest to many around here. It is titled Maranello: Images Between the Old and New Millennium and it provides the reader with a photographic journey through the sights, people, places, events, and foods found around the Ferrari factory in Maranello. There are a lot of books about many different things related to Ferrari, but this one provides a unique insight into the environment from which the cars come. Having been to Maranello several times, this book brings back a lot of memories (as well as a nice “to do” list for future visits…). Alternately, for someone who has not yet visited Maranello, I can not imagine a better or more thorough introduction. Interested parties can contact the author, Luca Giovanelli, directly at [email protected]. He speaks English just fine, so do not worry if you do not speak Italian. To the best of my knowledge, this book is not distributed outside of Italy, however, the text is in English, Italian, and German.

Please note that I have no commercial interest in any of this. This is simply an interesting book that more people should know about. I have attached a few sample photos sent to me by the author.

I am not sure if this is covered in this book but it would be interesting to have a Then and Now book on Maranello, the ones that show an old picture on one page and a new picture of the same spot of the opposite page, I would love to see all the physical changes over the past 60 years.

"Maranello Ferrari e... La Sue Gente" by Gianni Rogliatti is an interesting book about the history of Maranello and its relationship with Ferrari. Text is in English and Italian.
Another book is "Maranello; Un paese, la sua storia, la sua anima". Includes interviews with Franco Gozzi and Carlo Benzi. Mainly in Italian but with sections in English, French and German.
Both the above have some interesting anecdotes, and explanations about the relationship between Ferrari and the people of Maranello.
Finally "La Prima Sede della Scuderia Ferrari a Modena" is a small book about the pre-war Ferrari factory at viale Trento Trieste. Although in Italian it includes many illustrations and photographs. And even though the garage was demolished to build a car park there are many photos of a fantastic scale diorama so one can get a real feel for what the old factory looked like.
(None of the above books have ISBN nos.)
