This is always fun. You can only spend $500,000. You need a driver, a sports/play car, and one as a low use investment car. How are you going to spend the cash?

    Me:

    1) Early Ford F-1 truck resto-mod with modern running gear. (daily driver) $30,000
    2) Ferrari 308/328 (sports/play) $40,000
    This is the tough one.
    3) Mercedes 300SL Roadster $330,000 (may need some work at this price)
That was hard choice between classic Mecedes, Ferrari, Shelby.

    1) Audi TT (daily driver), $40K
    2) Ferrari 328 (sports/play), $60K
    3) This one's hard. Three possibilities: Ferrari Daytona coupe, black with five-spokes (investment; OK, so Hans has good taste), $400K. Also like the F40 here, depending on the price. There might be more upside in some other cars -- Boxer/328 among them -- because the Daytona and F40 have already soared in value. But these will hold their value pretty much forever, IMO. Finally, I like the Porsche Speedster (356A version) -- $200K and one of the coolest cars ever made. Plus... you can drive it.

    Fun & Investment....Lamborghini Muira

    Sports/play car....Sunbeam Tiger

Driver...Toyota Tacoma (with supercharger and other misc. add-ons)

I think I'd come in under budget...hopefully with enough to keep the Lamborghini insured and running

For me, I would be happy with this choice:

    1) Daily Driver: Late 80's Porsche 911 Turbo Silver/Black $40K
    2) Fun/Sport: Ferrari 512BBi Red/Tan $135K
    3) Investment: Ferrari 288 GTO Red/Black $325K

OK, going strictly by your rules,

    I like your 2 & 3, I could go along with that (with 2 being a 328)

    For 1, I have 130 left. I would go with a MB e65 AMG

Since I still have 100K to spend I would make sure the 300SL is prime and includes the luggage option. And I would raise the sports car up to a prime condition 328 at 60K. Or perhaps use a little of the extra cash to send #2 & #3 over to Europe for a month long drive around Italy & Germany with a few friends

This is tough, because I can't live with just one daily driver.

    Probably, I'd go:
    Daily Drivers: BWM 750Li $85K...plus my current 2002 C5 Corvette Conv. $35K
Sports/Fun Driver: 1929 Bentley Speed Six w/ Le Mans body: $300,000ish
Investment Driver: My ferrari 328 GTS ($27K) -- can't go anywhere but up!

Symbolic had one listed at that price a month ago, but it had 7K miles (high for an F40, I suppose) and frankly was more of a driver than an investment car. Not sure it could be put back to mint condition with any chance of remaining above water on that investment.

There all drivers ;)....i would think the 375 price was a onetimer that still needed another 25 to be able to drive...plus taxes....blah, blah blah, and if it was a one off at 375....i dont think you will find another...all the oens i have seen are in the 450 range. Sort of like finding a nice 328 for 35K ;) ;) THEY DONT EXSIST !!! :D:D:D:D:D

You woulda thunk, but seems like most of them have <5K miles. So, not sure why Ferrari bothered selling engines with these cars.
