It doesn't matter if your proud or embarrassed to have a lot of miles.
There's always one. This is not to see who is going to take a loss on resale or to declare that high mileage 360 or 430 drivers enjoy there cars more than infrequent drivers. This is also not asked to give any accolades to those that pamper or abuse their Ferrari. Can't a guy just see who put on "a lot" of miles on their vehicle and then, possibly, ask them a few questions. Sheesh, you'd think I was asking for your SS#.
330 miles here to get started with a number....Too much time in Florida this fall and not enough good weather while back in Indiana.
.....Or an even better question? .....who puts the most mileage on her in a month? Bought mine 1.5months ago at 18,800miles. Today, parked her in the garage with 20,980.... Tomorrow? Going for at least another 50 miles.... Hunter
You Rock! .....Or an even better question? .....who puts the most mileage on her in a month? Bought mine 1.5months ago at 18,800miles. Today, parked her in the garage with 20,980.... Tomorrow? Going for at least another 50 miles.... Hunter COOL!
Got mine in Sept with 18k. Put 3k on in 2 months and it's been in the shop since (had a little accident). Can't wait to get her back and rack up the (s)miles!
I know someone who has 40k miles on his 430 and 70k miles on his 575. I have 25k miles on my 360 and 16k miles on my 575. My firend and I could care less what they are "worth" when it is time to sell. We are not saving them for the next guy.
13,500 miles on my 430....I bought her exactly a year ago today. Im actually disappointed in myself for not putting more on.
my 360 has about 44,000 on it, although I cannot take credit for them all. I will leave that to the 3 other F-chatters that owned before me.
I've been reading Fchat for 3 years now and it appears to me that the "oversea friends" hardly drive their cars. Sometimes I read threads of people selling their 360 spider after 3 years for a 430 while they have done less than 10.000 miles. Man, that's so odd to me.. Have they been driving or washing ? They are all so very afraid of the resale value with a bit of milage I guess.. I see on a regular base 360's for sale here with 60.000 miles on it. I don't even start on milage of 328's or 348's as I don't trust their speedo's reading at all...
I test drove a 37k miles 2000 360 F1 awhile back, believe it or not it that car drove the best out of all the low mile 360s I have driven. For some reason this high mile 360 shifted smoother, engine smoother, and just handled better overall!
Euros over Dollar. Be careful, for I was flambe'd in a thread when "resale" was brought up. Some of these guys on this side of the pond are very sensitive (they know who they are).
So, would you buy that car over a low mileage 360 (given the high mileage 360 had a great service history)?
I bought a Ford GT and I was having fun with it(2,500 smiles in two months). Now that it's cold out, I don't drive the F430 because the locks freeze and the GT because the tires are dangerous when cold. I'm driving my reliable Z8, which I still love, even if it is pokey compared to the other two.
That NY cold weather can be rough not to mention the NY moon craters, I mean pot holes. Z8 is a nice diversion to enjoy!
