    I am sure that there have been advances in tranny oil technology since the early 80s. What do you guy recommend and why?

    Stay with what is book recommended and what you have been using. Changing fluid types mid stream in an auto box can potentially cause problems. There are all kinds of fluids out there with specific goals, but unless your having a specific problem, there is nothing to gain from changing fluid types in my opinion.

    I was not quite sure. Since my car was built, I know there has to have been advances in oil technology.
