Where I can get Staeger belt tension measerer. Thanks
I understand that is not the mechanical one as Staeger, Gate belt manufacturer makes one as a mechanical one for couple hundred dollars. I am woundering any mechanical one should give you same reading. Thanks.
I checked Baum tools they have a different mechanical one for $300 which does not gives readings only showes a preset band for correct or within normal range tension. Also I checked ebay and I could not found one. My quiestion is this. acording to the manueal the spring inside the tensioner automatically set the tension by having the spring at its maximum tension before you thighten the screw. If the is the case so the tension should be right. New question. How do you check the spring for its maximum tension since it is located inside. second question what is the tourqe for the bearing screw for 1999 550 maranello. any help will appreciate.
Automotion sells the Staeger gauge: http://www.automotion.com/productpage.aspx?pid=100933&cid=18&sid=124
Thanks for your help, any body has Engine tourqe chart specification from 1999 550 Marranelo workshop manuel (it should be one or two pages) either email me or post here. I would appriciate very much.
I love Automotions description of the tool. lol "This tool is a must for any 944/928/924S/968 owner. The timing and balance shaft belts should be adjusted at 15,000 mile intervals, according to the Porsche Maintenance schedule. If not, you could face a nuclear meltdown with broken or loose belts, which causes bent valves and major repair bills." Where have we heard that before? <grin>
