I've known a few motorcycle jumpers over the years. They seem to have the inability to feel pain like the rest of us.

Any jump I've ever done on a scoot has been purely unintentional.

    But I've noticed one thing.

When I toss a scoot and feel the pain of a broken bone, all the past broken bone episodes snap into sharp focus. I have this realization of " oh yeah, I remember how this feels, how much it hurts". I simply cannot remember that feeling, or should I say "feel" that feeling at other times. It's remarkable how the brain blocks those memories until it happens again.

I've heard women in childbirth have a similar realization.

Technically it's super easy, especially with such a huge landing.

However, it takes so much commitment you just have to be impressed. He's haulin' major a$$ before hittin' the ramp ... there's no backing out at that point!

Travis Pastrana will break that record while doing a no-handed backflip can-can plus your taxes.

Still impressive though, the bar keeps getting raised higher & higher.

they said 95-98 mph but there was aslight wind in his face which kept him from getting closer to the 360 feet he wanted to jump.

I'm sorry, but this is so far from impressive! Its a dirt bike! He grabs some brake to dip the nose etc. Have him jump with a Harley like Evel and see how many bones he breaks! Friggin' retardedly unimpressive!

On second thought you're right.... That's still too easy. How about a Harley with a side car? I'll buy the bike. you make the jump.

How about I jump a 150lb dirt bike, wearing some sort of Hans device, chest and back armor, have 50 yards of land space being 3 stories tall made out of dirt. I'm sure you are impressed by many advertisements! Drink Red Bull

Any way you want to do it... You know what they say,... talk is cheap. You sure you're not spiking your red bull with something a tad stronger???

Well actually, that, and to whom to address the flowers, after the event... :(

Yeah, super easy. That's why he's the only one the entire world to even attempt it. I'll give you my dirt bike and lets see how impressive you are. I have $10,000 that says you become a paraplegic before you clear 50 feet.

It was impressive BUT I could not take my eyes off the height of that landing ramp. It certainly helped take away a ton of downward speed (most of the danger in jumping). Had that landing ramp been closer to ground level but twice as wide (to make sure that he hit it)....he would have been in big trouble. I can see why they made it so long and high to get the length they needed and to be more level with his max height. Very impressive though. He did have excellent control in the air though which made me think he could have easily gone further.

I guess sarcasm is not some peoples forte, and the ability to see how easy it was for "Robbie" to do compared to what Evel did....is others. Evel would actually land on a ramp with a suspension that was basically welded to the seat....How much suspension travel do dirt bikes have? Its was a 4hr red bull advertisement and it was so difficult he did it twice! haha
