Ted, its funny that the 1000 BHP Turbo cars had no traction control, and back than the cars also had manual gearboxes, steel brakes, and no power steering. The tracks were much more dangerous as well, I think these Man Boys just need a reason to complain about the lack of TC.

The drivers that are complaining need to learn to use a judicious right foot. Slamming the pedals to the floor and letting the computer sort it out for you isn't going to cut it anymore. Of course I do not want to see anyone hurt, but if they're not prepared to adjust their driving style a reasonable amount - or don't think they can (aren't these the best of the best??) then they shouldn't get on that track to begin with.

I'm sure there are plenty of owners here who have fast hyper cars in their own garage that may have been unexpectedly caught in a downpour or worse and managed to make it home. There's a proper way to drive in those conditions no matter what kind of car you have - F1 or otherwise. It's time to bring out more of that driver skill in the racing.

I remember the wet race in Hungary, in 06. Kimi and Massa starting first and second, Kimi takes a commanding lead, Massa falls back to tenth place or something like that. That is the race where Alonso lost a wheel and crashed out after passing and I think lapping MS. Massa looked awful, but a year later fighting with Kubica Massa looked great. So who knows, Massa has matured and may surprise us.

The two most difficult tracks to pass are Monaco and Hungary.

At Monaco, Kimi started 16th and finished 8th, at Hungary Massa started 16th and finished...15th?!?

Massa has a LOT more maturing to do as a driver before he surprises anybody.

In my mind's eye I can imagine Kimi, Schumacher, Senna and Gilles on the front two rows....no whining there about the rain.
