Vintage Ferrari fans have had one of their prayers answered. Hasegawa has scheduled for release in April 2008 an all-new 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa - and yes, my friends, it is the much wanted PONTOON FENDERED car!!! This is not a rumor, its a FACT - Item SKU is #21219. Details (what there is of them) is at http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=HAS21219.

I already posted this under rare models. We should start a "new model kits" thread.

Revell of Germany also announced a Ferrari F2007 in 1/24th scale this week.

I hope they do it as a left hand drive - and then realise the error of their ways and do it as a right hand drive...

Now if only we could talk a vintage racing decal guy into making some decals for a bunch of racing versions... Oh - wait ;-)

I went to a friends house up in NH over the weekend for a short getaway with my wife and some friends. I brought all my best 250TR reference material with me to start doing research. Anybody have any requests?

I did the art for #22 Lucybelle, #17, #19 and #58 last night. And yep - I did instrument faces and all the other detail bits as well. I measured everything to a Model Factory Hiro kit so everything should be close, but I will make final adjustments when I get my hands on a kit (or 20). I've got art for a few more LeMans cars to do - I may throw in a couple of RHD cars even though I suspect that the kit will be LHD. And everything will be Cartograf printed.

I haven't been this excited about a kit since AM announced their FIA Cobra kit in plastic!

And JSA, the kit is supposed to have 131 parts so I think it will be full detail with a (hopefully) really nice engine.
