I have the exploded diagram showing what fasteners to remove to replace the seat belt retractor unit, but what I don't have it knowledge on how to remove this leather cover that shrouds the seatbelt assembly. Has anyone here ever removed one?
    Any help would be appreciated.

30 views and no answer? Not a problem, as a quick call to friendly Brian Crall gave me everything I need to complete this project. Of course if people had not run him off of this forum, the answer would have been posted for everyone to see.

Be careful , Those clips that hold that panel on are real fragile . I found it best ti just replace them you can get the at most auto part stores .

    1. pull off the small adjuster button by firmly pulling down on it
    2. lift the bigger tab and undo 17mm nut
    3. remove lower section of door seal (don't go to high coz it can be awkward to get back in place at the 1/4 window)
    4. pull off cover starting from the bottom. (the plastic slide plate where the studs come through is very fragile and cracks very very easy, though its a minor thing)

you can generally reuse the holding clips but can be better to replace them for tighter grip. make sure they're lined up properly when refitting

    Hi Mike,

How did they run him off?
    Why won't he come back?
