Do my own oil change every 1500-2000 miles. Not difficult and I like doing SOMETHING on my own car. This is about all I will try.:)

    Is it because in FL?

I used 15w50 in my air cooled 911 motor as the motor runs very hot, my water cooled 996 used to use 15w50 oil until Porsche sent out a TSB suggesting switching to 0w40 due to the lack of circulation of the heavier weight 15w50 to the hydraulic lifters in cold start ups.

I wonder if the lighter weight 0-40 oil would work better to protect the 360 engine on cold start up?

i use chevron delo 400 5w-40 in my 360. no problems. very easy to change oil. i have changed t-belts also. thats pretty easy too. changed steering wheel to a carbon fiber wheel, had to be the easiest one i have ever changed. brake light switch went bad, that was also the easiest brake switch i've ever done. so what i'm saying is that some things on a 360 are not bad at all to do yourself.
