The Reventon is a joke. Nice try to blow smoke up our a*** I'm sorry for those of us customers, who have been approached and can afford it, we think it is a joke. End of story. Stop trying to say it is something it is not.

    there's a clear tendency here:
dealers and dated lambo owners hate it...

but now I'm concerned how the REVENTON price tag will affect future supercars such as Enzo replacement in it's price tag.
Let's not forget original ENZO MSRP and how it was flipped doubled right away.
probably that's what LAMBO try to avoid: the car getting in speculators hands ....

Price and value are not the same thing.

It's funny how some get them confused.

I for one don't like it. But those pictures in and around Bolonga in the rain do look nice. I personaly can't justify the price. LP640 for me thanks.

So, if I think it's cool, I'm wrong because I'm not an owner nor can I afford it?
People starting to throw opinions around as facts in this thread....

No, nothing wrong with opinions. Yes I like, or no I don't. But, when some of these guys start spouting, "It's the best car ever!"" or "I would own three" it gets stupid. Come on. Just discuss the car and what it is about. In this case there is a big controversy about the how much the factory is charging and what you are getting.

In that case then, I might be able to agree. It wouldn't be my first choice if I could afford a Lamborghini, but I do think it looks pretty cool.
But, I apologize then, for misinterpreting your post.

Only 20 to be made. The rummor of it bumping to 100 units was mentioned here and apparently only on "Fast Lane Daily" web show (and I think they got their rumor from here anyway)... They're only making 20. It's done, made, over, all sold out.

    and you know that how?

Still waiting to see even one delivered to a private end-user.

Napolis reported that one has been seen driving around Bologna, that's right by the factory. The car likely still belongs to the company.

The Reventon "thing" is similar to what American car companies have done for decades.

Take a Chevy "platform", change the fenders and bumpers, instrument panel, upholstery and hubcaps.

    VOILA! an Oldsmobile.

    Underneath it's still a Chevy.

Because official statements from Winkleman and other Lamborghini officials number it as a 20 unit production run. No other official statement has been made to contradict that. The only evidence of a "100 unit total" that I've come across has been other posts here (in this thread), and on the "Fast lane daily" web show... if there's other references, please let me know. Still, they won't be official, as the only statements out of Lamborghini Spa is 20 unit run, no more, all are sold. I could be wrong on them all being completed, but they are all sold out according to Winkleman.

Which would support that they may not be built, but doesn't contest a 20 unit max at all, or that they are all apparently sold at this point.

This is 00/20 I think, which is property of the company and will remain so... it's the one being used for journalist test drives.
And from the videos I'm seeing of people driving it for their "reporting"... anyone with a ink jet printer that can spell PRESS PASS, is qualified to get a test drive.

    [/QUOTE]

Well this isn't being touted as another car, only as a VERY limited edition of one. All car companies do this. This one just lept up a few rungs on the price ladder as it should, but if it's worthy of that is the big question.

Volkswagen puts out limited editions of everything ... and typically go up anywhere from $5k to $10k for just a COLOR change. Up to $20k if they do any engine changes or body styling. One of the biggest they've done is taken the VW 2001 New Beetle (~$20k), and completely changed the body, powertrain, interior... and put it out as the New Beetle RSi. 250 production units, with 20 being even rarer blue colored variants, the rest silver... these booked out at $65k each. % wise thats STILL not as big of a leap as the Reventon over the LP640 price wise, but it's a hell of a lot more ACTUAL change to the car...

The big thing with this is they put on a new body, put in new seats and dash... and really, thats about it. Thats where the big dividing line comes from.

And the interior I love... but the new body, is just novel... not good (in my own opinion, I know others love it, thats fine). I just see it as something new, and trendy "right now" given all of the military everything flooding the news... eh. It's not a design thats going to end up in any history book, other than a book of Lamborghini history, or expensive low production number cars....

It's the Pregunta Roadster, built by a company in France, I believe. Hueliez, the folks responsible for it, built the car to show the industry what they were capable of. It had no intention of being produced.

Pregunta, another so-called jet fighter design.........................................................GIMME A BREAK!

Just so we're clear on this, it's not a "jet" without a jet engine and wings.

At best it's like putting baseball cards in the spokes of your bicycle and pretending it's a Harley.

I think it's a fairly cool design concept but I dont think it will stand the test of time. Think about some of the "futuristic" cars from the past. The vast majority of them look very very dated and I think the Reventon will look the same in 20 or 30 years. Hopefully it will hold it's value. With the massive power and exclusivity that shouldnt be a problem.
