Could somebody post images showing the foam sections that sit around the perimeter of a Mondi water radiator please? Or if anybody can grab some new ones & takes images & dimensions I'll try to get some manufactured in the UK. Ferrari as usual want an insane amount of ££ for 4 bits of foam.

It is the same stuff that Wal-Mart sells to shove around a window unit a/c. Buy it for a dollar. While you are in there, pick up a package of razor blades and a tube of 3M adhesive. The whole Mondial kit should be less the $5. Trust me, this isn't a "suitable substitute", it's the real deal. Probably better. Mine looks new and I and I Wal-Marted it back in 97.

If you pass this up and pay $100 to have the same stuff imported and then pay a dealer to install it, you are never allowed back here to Fchat again.

Oh, I see now that you are in the UK. You may not have a Wal-Mart there but I am sure somebody sells the same thing. Really, do yourself a favor and skip the Ferrari foam.

Mike...B&Q or a decent plumbers/builders merchants do it, in the past I've bought the extra wide strips and cut it down to size (around £20 for a roll!)

The top foam piece on my car just disintegrated tonight. What if I don't replace it?

If it's under 80 F ambient and you're not using your air conditioning, you probably won't notice the difference. Above 85-90 F ambient, and especially as the relative humidity climbs or you use your A/C, you'll notice elevated temperatures when sitting in traffic or in stop and roll traffic. It really just keeps the "spill" from the fan exit from coming around front again.

You'll burn in hell. Or at least your car might run a couple degrees warmer in the driver's compartment. It does help keep the hot going where it belongs.

I used the A/C foam from home depot on my Dino, I'm sure it's the same stuff and it is $1.99 to do the entire car. Use a little 3M adhesive, and you're all done.

Excellent. This sounds like a repair even I could do. Thanks.
