Surely thats a Cayenne pshoped right? Then again, the "new Dino" began with a p-shop of a Cayman, wasn't it?
They can't do that to the brand. It's absolutely a terrible idea. Enzo will be rolling in his grave if they produce an SUV. Paul
Not just no, But hell no! I think this annoucement is part of a scheme to help Italy's energy industry. The plan is to wrap Enzo Ferrari's body in Copper wire, and replace his tombstone with a huge magnet. The motion of Enzo spinning in his grave could possibly generate enough electricity to power all of rome for years to come. I mean no offence to those who own SUV's...wait a minute I think I do. SUV's are for world class wankers. Now when I say this I don't mean the manly type like Jeep CJ-5's, FJ land cruisers etc, I mean the mealy-mouth half-breed never see mud but would sink to it's hubs if it did, crossover yuppie soccermom-mobiles that are a set of small wheels away from being a station wagon. I mean seriously, what kind of man could walk into a Ferrari Dealership, and the most interesting thing he could find to drive away in is an SUV? This simply doesn't pass my litmus test for what a cool car is. WWSD? (What Would Steve Drive?) My rule is if I can't picture Steve McQueen driving it, it's not cool. A Ferrari SUV? Not Cool! If they want to sell to soccar mom's I suggest something like this... Image Unavailable, Please Login
There goes the brand. Buyers who don't mind paying huge premium$ for the Ferrari brand may no longer be wiling to do so in future! I own a SUV, but to see one with a Ferrari badge would make me ill.
Its a 10000000000000000000000000000000% Photoshop. They took a 599 front and a 612 body, stretched it. The front paint doesn't even match the back! People have nothing to do these days so they make these things up... It starts with Top Speed photoshopping something and then claiming that their "reliable sources" have confirmed it... when they finally interview someone from Ferrari, the answer is always no.
it kind of look like.......well....................a friggin photoshop mess, ferrari would never do it
Hello Everyone. I've been lurking around for a while (beautiful community you guys have here) but after seeing this thread I believe that the time for my first post has arrived, I would have hoped that it'd be for a merrier subject but anyway... Here in Italy rumors of a Ferrari SUV have been going around for a while. No one really paid any attention to them other than a couple of minor websites seeing as there was no proof of any of this. This was until a month or so ago, 'AUTO', one of the two or three biggest car magazines in Italy had this as its front cover- http://www.autoblog.it/post/11738/ferrari-suv-secondo-la-rivista-auto-e-realta They claimed to be certain that it'd soon be reality thanks to some 'inside contacts'...needless to say that they broke their all time sales record with that issue...and that I almost had a heart attack when I first saw it.... In any case, roughly a week ago, I had my father phone 'Rosso Corsa' (Milan's Ferrari-Maserati dealership) where he knows a few people to see if there was in fact any truth behind this madness. The answer was NO. The general manager said that they had many customers phoning them after reading that article in 'AUTO' already. He said there is absolutely no truth behind any of this story and Ferrari confirmed this directly to him. So, I think that you can all dream sweet dreams tonight. Carlo
Everything what you have said here is confirmed by my dealer in Germany. I wanted to post my dealer's answer but you have done it quicker. There will be no Ferrari SUV, it is confirmed by Felisa himself. My dealer also told that possibilty to see SUV from Maserati still exists, but there will be no any kind of SUV or anyhting else with 4 dours from Ferrari. So we have nothing to worry about. All those articles are just cheap rumors. Best.
You just saved me $200,000! Though my wife is very sad. She drives a Cayenne Turbo and had beaten other sports cars off the line when we had an E55. Sometimes a speed demon -- she ain't no soccer mom.
Last year, there were spy shots with a 612 that had some kind of monitoring system on the front wheels.Rumors about a 4wd system form ferrari were flying.Autocar uncovered a patent for a part-time four-wheel-drive system, applied for by Ferrari. The future models may include an optional four-wheel drive system, they say.... or a new 4wd version of 612. From here, some people who think that ferrari is just a sport car maker like Porsche come with the ideea of a Ferrari SUV.
This is a joke... First of all the site's "photos" are just cut & pastes of different Ferraris and a Lexus job on the rear... Give me a break, Ferrari are not on any road to an SUV. If FIAT has anybody do the job it will be Maser. Best, Jon
I find it hard to believe that something like this could ever make it past the drawing board, or even the concept phase. Much less a production car.
