My friend Jim bought this car. He is sending it off for a few additional upgrades, and we'll probably be at the Rte. 66 Speedway dragstrip in a few weeks to time it.

My name is Jim McClain and I am the new owner of the Twin Turbo Gallardo #1. I have been having a lot of fun with the car in the colder weather we now have hear in Chicagoland. I ordinarily cant enjoy my Supercharged Viper during this time of the year because it gets too wild with RWD and the hard cold streets that the 4WD Gallardo has no problem dealing with. Yesterday was actually a little warmer and I ended up blowing a F430 and Z06 away that tried messing with me which was great fun when the drivers of these cars wide smiles became sad frowns after I blew right by them like they were standing still!!!

Hey Jim welcome to Fchat. With that new toy you might want to hook up with the Lambo club that Carla started this past summer. Lot's of drives and other activities are being planned for next season. Check out some of the other threads on things we did this past summer.

 

Congrats Jim! I live in California and know Wayne and the car well. I am back in Illinois for the holidays and figured I'd scan this section. I was surprised to see that the car ended up right here. I still remember my first ride in it and can easily reproduce that grin it elicited. I also remember when Lambo test driver Valentino Balboni went for a spin in it with Wayne. To see the smile on Balboni's face when they got back was priceless. Best of luck with it and drive it in good health.

 

Ok Jim, I'll be the first one in line for one hell of a ride, in the Spring. But knowing temptation, I bet I'll see it out on the streets before Spring time.

 

Jim, where in St. Charles are you from? I'm located in Burr Road.

 

I took a ride in this car a few months ago. Skin peeling back on face, ultimately thrilling, but a totally safe and secure feeling that it wasn't go to get loose even at max acceleration. Quite impressed.
