Saleen S7. I've loved that car since its first debut. I doubt that it could be more expensive to service than the Lamborghini.

I agree with everyone that would choose a "288GTO" over the S7 or Murcie. Unfortunately, the acquisition of a 288GTO costs at least DOUBLE the S7 or Murcie these days! As I do not wish to part with any of my other cars at the moment I cannot justify the lofty cost of a 288 at this time.

One has to admit that it's very interesting how different opinions can be. S7 ugly and plain? Murcie plain? Spyker good looking? Some of these opinions are rather surprising! I guess we - as consumers of these special exotics - are very fortunate to have the choices we have. I've done some research and even have a good friend who has had the fortune of owning both cars. Here is how I sum it up:

    Rarity: S7
    Power: S7
    Better Long Term Value: S7
    Reliability: Murcie
    Easier to Drive/Park: Murcie
    Comfort: Murcie
    Looks/Design: ?
    Maintenance Costs: ?

I guess it comes down to what's more important to me. Still undecided at the moment ....

-The lambo's engine has a much more sophisticated sound.
-The Saleen looks like a kit car up close.

I agree, I wouldn't say kit-car, but "race car" looking body work, never looked like a finished production car... like a modern Ferrari or Lambo.

S7 had such low ground clearance ... I don't see how you can drive it anywhere but on the track?

I saw a lot of Saleen's when I lived in Michigan (on the track, never on a street). They joked it's Michigan's idea of a Ferrari/Lamborghini LOL Mid-Western boys really have that "buy American" spirit.

I was going to wait until the summer but I may pull the trigger a tad earlier. At this moment I think the Murcie has the edge for me. I just think I would drive the car more than a S7. I don't need another garage queen! :) Also, after seeing the following pic it raised my eyebrows quite a bit. I'm sure it's not to everyone's liking but I thought it was very sinister looking!

My vote goes to the S7, I think it's a step or 2 above the Murc and that is saying something
