Just watching Barrett Jackson, and seeing many cars going for multiples of their original window sticker. Makes GT4's appear a real bargain. Just curious what the window stickers were on GT4's from 1974 through 1979/80.

Here is my '79, and I know that Ferrariguyma can post his '78. Can other GT4ers post theirs to see the progression from '74?

    WOW, Pete.

If a new 1975 GT4 was $22K....what happened between 1975 and 1978/79 when the MSRP became $40K + options? Thats why I was interested in seeing the progression on MSRP.

Was that in USD? or Canadian?

and yes, rated 11 MPG on the sticker, too.

The mid and late 1970's were inflation crazy times. The GT4 seems to have doubled in price in four years. And I've read many times that the GT4 was a slow seller. That makes me doubt that Ferrari was jacking up the price to quell (or meet) demand. But I was not buying cars in the '70's so I don't actually remember this myself.

Yeah, but gas was only estimated to be 70¢.

So  at todays prices, that would be 5 times as much. So figure 55mpg! Not bad... :p

Forget the gas. Look at the MSRP change from 1978 $35,900 to 1979 $39,998. Jumps $4100 in one year!

    Can't wait to see 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977.... this is really interesting.

The price is in USD as it was sold through Joe Marchetti's: "International Auto" in Chicago.
