What does that translate into USD? ;) I do need one for my car.

I personally think it looks better stock. There is just too much glass back there with that cover. The 360/430 can pull it off because they are shaped differently, more of a notch back compared to a fast back.

Has anyone ever tried to do an F40 style hatch? I am not sure how it could be done or how it would look but at it should help performance wise by cutting down on the aerodynamic drag/lift. I though I might have seen one on a challenge car before. It might be extremely cool.....

Good question I wondered that my self I know the answer is the 360 glass but why can't you use a heavier gauge plexi or for that matter get tempered glass cut to spec and what ever gauge you want shape, size, color, tint I think the looks are endless and probably 1/10 the cost of the 360 glass, I have worked with tempered glass quite a bit my other hobbies is designing clubs, bars, restaurants, condos etc....and it is quite cheap just go to a local glass supply shop..(pause, thinking) hmmmmmmmmm I might have something here cha ching$$$$$$$

Ya so let's just forget everything I just said, ya that's it...lol

The 99 360's did not have a drip rail installed on the engine bay side panels under the vents.

I heard of a couple of instances (discussed at the 360 Spider top training if I remember correctly) where a burst of water on the back deck lid went directly onto the headers and shattered the back glass. If I remember correctly the 00 cars showed up with the rain channels installed on the side panels to prevent this. At minimum the resulting steam cleaning of the engine bay would leave the glass a mess unless this was addressed in a conversion. I like the look but I would bet it is a heavy piece.

Bruce Wright and I discussed the F40 style rear treatment on his project 355 and I believe he is following through with that plan. On a race car such as his, this type of rear solves many issues regarding aero for the wing, cold air for the engine, maintaince and setup access.... I remember discussion of a roof mounted snorkle as well.

I believe that is the standard '360' wheel offset. I have seen a 355 with other 360 wheels and the offset looked just as bad as this one.... :(.

I think the glass is too refined for the 355. If anything as dave mentioned above an F40 stlye lid would be better than a glass panel.... though IMO stock is better than both!! .. ;)
