The 355 Name Poll / Vote

When I translated it a few times---it made sense to say Fratelli 355-----WOW!! Scuderia 355 is running away with the numbers. Can't wait for the next vote--then the actual guys that this thing pertains to will become the deciding factor----Look how many votes there are right now---I don't think there are that many frequent users in this section---I think the 348 guys have called wifes and girlfriends to place votes---

Did I miss the primary that determines which names are to be put on the ballot?

Or was the previous brainstorm thread the official primary?

I am not voting because I like the name "Brothership"

 

We can just put a header at the top of the poll telling all the poll is for 355 owners only. Then make the poll results viewable so we know who voted and can determine if all votes were from actual owners. OR - once you vote you must make a post in the thread stating your VIN of your 355 - I have a way of checking that info easily--

 

The brothership is a good one, if that were in the poll I would have voted for that. However since I voted for 355 crew, I have changed my mind and think 355 fratelli is a better option, any way we can remove my vote from the 355 crew to 355 fratelli?

Will this mean my brotherhood cap (of which I have a heap more photos to post) will become out dated and no longer appropriate for driving my 355?

 

brothership is nice and clever..... though as you now know 'Fratelli 355' is more timeless and proper for an 'italian car' group.... !!!

the Fratelli word can go before or after 355........ or even just 'Il Fratelli'............... but I think if we include 355 it may be proper italian grammer to have Fratelli first..... anyone??

Forget the cap, that is dated. I suspect we will see the origional Ferrari Hula Doll show up soon.

On a more serious note.

Will you 355 brothers be wanting caps or tees?? I'm pretty sure, once you come up with a name, we can work up a nice logo for ya.

I do see a problem with Robbie's suggestion that 355 owners only vote for the final choice. How the hell you gonna keep others from voting? Well, I guess you could make the poll show who votes, then eliminate any stray voters.

And hey, what about the gals who drive 355's. I see some PC issues with this "Brotherhood" thing. Might have to go with "Peoplehood."

I'll stand by to see what wins, and if there is a hat/tee shirt order in the making.

I own a '98 355 F1 GTS, VIN 112378, and voted for Scuderia 355.

Never liked the term Brotherhood. Brothers in the Hood? Maybe I don't like brotherhood because I'm from Philadelphia, and I remember the violent Teamsters Union strikes, murders, etc in the 60's and 70's.

Scuderia means Team - much better way of thinking.

Fratelli sounds like a pasta, and may be familiar to others here, but I never heard the word before. If we're going to have caps, etc to show off to "the outside world", the name needs to be understandable. As Robin Williams once said to Oprah, who was wearing a loud, multi-colored sweater on her show, "Fashion should make a statement, not ask a question". So should our SWAG.

I like scuderia..... but it sounds like the 430 scuderia ....

 

I'm not saying I don't want to be together with the 348s - I'm saying I don't don't like the term "Brotherhood".

But if the 355 folks here want a separate group, or the 348 folks want the 355 folks out, whatever is happening, then I believe only the 355 folks should vote for what name they want.

I'm all for Scuderia 355. I think as a logo, it will look best, plus I agree with others regarding the pasta similarities and the "brotherhood" comparison.
