Keep in mind that consuming a little saliva generally won't hurt you and that urine is sterile. I'll generally avoid ingesting other bodily fluids though, just as a matter of personal principle.

Is this error on par with a disrespectful and/or improper display of a national flag???.....I think not.

The owner could be a Ferrari owner and simply wants it that way.

Would people like perfect stangers coming into their homes and telling them where, what & how... to hang thier pictures, arrange thier furniture or the proper color of towels?

Opting to let it go was the best choice. Having to "speak" to the manager would have been presumtuous. IMO
