2008 auto show questions

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions about the upcoming 2008 auto show.

1. Is there any possible way to see the cars as they are being unloaded, or is that roped off. If you can see them, what date and where.

2. Do either Lambo or Ferrari have booths this year?

3. Will Lambo Chicago come?

4. I hear Dodge is unavailing a car this year at the Chicago show, I think the new Charger. When is that happening?

I hope to see your Ferraris on the streets now that it is getting warmer!

Ferrari/Maserati will not be there, I don't think Lamborghini will be either. Dodge is launching the production Challenger.

 

How depressing...What will there to see then ? Merc SL and P 911 ?? Woopsidoo !

Looks like Lambo and Maserati are still listed as being there, but no Ferrari.

I was spoiled by the Diesel Renault Espace for years so i doubt that i will be thrilled by anything here ..

 

Who gives a turd if Ferrari won't be there, goto a dealer.....Audi R8 V12 TDi...now thats something to see!

Aston Martin DBS
Lamborghini Reventon
Mazda Furai

 

GT2 might, Furai might. DBS, Scuderia and Reventon will not.

Strange comment to make on a website for Ferrari enthusiasts.

 

As of Thursday, details have been worked out with the CATA and there will be a Lamborghini exhibit!!!!! Now everyone can get their money's worth!

Seeing a Reventon in person...I CAN'T WAIT!!!

 

So is there a day that most of us can be there together? This worked out great a few years ago. Andreas, are you going this year?

I wouldn't necessarily count on that. All 20 of the Reventons have been sold to individuals already and I don't believe anyone in the US has taken delivery yet, and Lambo won't use a customers for show. Also, Lambo was at NAIAS and had no Reventons there.

 

I didn't plan on it with Ferrari not being there, but now that at least Lambo has a booth I could be persuaded. Meeting up with you there would be reason enough.

The president of FOC Nationals has a nice saying: "I joined for the cars, I stayed for the people."

 

Will know more which day(s) might be best for us soon. Carolyn and I try to attend together each year if possible. After the first weekend of the show probably for sure. Lincoln's birthday is on the 12th. Just double checked the Chicago school calendar. That is a school holiday. That will probably be reason enough not to go that day. Thinking now Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Who else is planning to go this year, and may wish to meet up?
