differences of a 360 vs 430

If you are serious about buying a car, go to the dealership and try to get a test drive. Or you can go to Fcar meets and talk to the owners themselves, many 430 owners once had a 360 as well.

 

Give the search function a try - I know there have been a few threads recently that were on this topic ....

 

After owniing a 360 and now a 430, I would say the following. The "looks" of a 360 is equal to or better than a 430. If you don't care about F-1 gear change ratio's, horsepower, or suspension, you can buy a 360 coupe in great condition for a little over $100,000 and as long as service has been done, you have just saved $100,000 relative to the price of a 430 for maintenance. You will enjoy both cars. Best

I've also owned both (still have the 430). While I miss the lines on my 360, the 430's performance in acceleration and shifting more than makes up for that. If the difference between 400 and 490 horsepower or shifts that happen around twice as fast (on the 430, of course) aren't important, you can trick out a beautiful 360 with a killer exhaust, HRE wheels, update the interior with carbon fiber (steering wheel, paddles etc) and a host of other things and still save a huge amount of money over a stock 430.

Tuners in the UK have fitted the TCU (Transmission Control Unit) from the Challenge Stradale into a regular 360. Since then people have also worked out you can flash the TCU from a 360 and do the same so if your wanting faster shifts you can do it with just replacement s/w.

I think the F430 interior is much improved but the exterior was asthetically challenged in comparison to the CS. The 430S improved on the 430 a lot but I still prefer the stradale. Why not just consider a Stradale? They won't loose money and you'll be safe in the knowledge you've got one of the lowest depreciating models and having a blast driving it!

1. engine size and ~100 more HP
2. F1 tranny leaps and bounds above the 360
3. Styling of the 430 is SO MUCH NICER than the 360 (I know I am a minority there) I think the 360 looks so cheap in the nose and rear, very bland and plastic-looking to me
4. Interior, again cheap and plastic on 360 and fantastic artwork on 430
5. Stock exhaust so much better on 430
6. handling is MUCH better than 360 in 430
7. Timing Chain in 430 instead of belt in 360 = less maintenance cost for replacement
8. 430 costs more but it ALWAYS will so there is no difference.

 

bro if ur gonna spend ur money.spend it on something worth it.no way u can compare a 360 to a 430.dont think twice 430 definetly.looks in & out are so much better

by the way thats me looking at my new f430 in qatar.im kuwaiti but i bought my car from the dealership in qatar because i didnt want to wait 8 monthes for an order for a ferrari

 

$100,000 More, not nearly as attractive as the 360, but a much more refined car and nicer interior. Did I say 100k mas?

My logic, buy a 360 and 997S or a 430. Uh, I'll be buying a Porsche to keep my 360 company. No offense to the 430 guys as it's a taste thing.

Even if cost were no object, I'd get a 360.

I think they're better looking.
And let's not kid ourselves here, most of these cars are going to be on the street, the 360 is more than enough car for such a role
The extra cost of an F430 just isn't justified in my opinion.

 

Buy a Stradale and have the best of all worlds.

 

360, unless you can get your hands on a Scuderia.
