THE SPOTTERS THREAD

Spotted a Blue 2008 BMW M3 on the 405 South bound, near Beverly Exit. Had the letters D L R on the rear plate. I notice the rear wide wells are wider.
I tried taking clear photos with my digi cam, while carefully drive thru light traffic.

after several mins trailing the M3, I called my buddy "AW" who knows alot about cars. He said the same thing too! Its not suppose to be out till few months or so, or sometime begin'n of summer... I had to make sure, I saw the M3 badge on the rear lid, the side fender grille, and the M front bumper all checked out, it was the 2008.

 

dealers already have some. its not the first spotting in socal- there have been a few posts on m3 forums picturing another one

 

Saw a Yellow Gallardo with a LoOC paper plate in Old Town Temecula sunday morning. Anyone on here?

Hi, did you spot this Giallo Midas (Yellow) Gallardo near Texas LiL Steak House? Tall caucasian male, mid 40's? Maybe it could be the same car that I saw a few months back.

 

I saw a red one today in Beverly Hills, To me it just looks like any other BMW, nothing that special but still very nice.

Yesterday evening, saw a red Testarossa on PCH. That car still looks beautiful.

 

There are quite a few driving around So Cal already. Too bad the car looks so boring. The exterior goes downhill with every generation, and the performance, while impressive, hardly makes up for it.

 

On Colorado Blvd in Pasadena last night around 7pm:

Black F430 with Black wheels & Challenge Grille. Best part was the thin yellow line around the wheels.

Phantom as well.

Rusnak Jag was crowded...I suppose the introduction of the XF.

 

I kind of like the look of the new M3, well at least from the pictures I've seen so my opinion could change. I guess I'll just have to wait for it to come out. Anyone know when it'll be at Cars & Coffee? Seems all the newest stuff is at C&C very early on or before they hit dealers.

i've seen em out and about, as well as the LA auto show...it's very....

Yellow 360 on Westlake Blvd this afternoon. Not afraid of the rain

 

been seeing a bunch of F-cars/exotics around the desert lately...red gallardo, yellow 360 w/ wing, red 355..

and the other day i saw a Mangusta Qvale

 

I've seen the one at Crystal Cove. It is 100% authentic

 

red 308 on an open car carrier (in pouring rain)on the 210 heading towards Pasadena

As a SoCal resident now I'm gonna try and post the oddball spots. Sorry but new Lambos and Ferrari's are a little like shooting fish in a barrel but there is still much room for the truly rare. My first spot, a fairly new Renault Clio hatchback in Anaheim last week with Cali plates.

 

@ Audi / Porsche Newport today spotted not 1 but 2 Porsche Carrera GT's both black with silver rims...

Saw a Lambo Diablo on Moulton and Oso around 3:00

 

yellow 599 in santa monica at 6.00pm

 

Blue Viper GTS with white stripes in La Canada.

 

Purpleish Murcie on the 10. Also another sick GranTurismo.

 

Black F430 Spider with polished wheels and what sounded like a Tubi heading north on 405 in Long Beach.
