When i first looked i thought i saw the slang Calo. word "pizzo" [Not the township, the local meaning] Its ok, 2nd look cleared that up. Ciao M
Rob Light aircraft are fun and as you say its not to hard to fly. That is get it up and straight and level and with a bit of practice get it down again. But there lots more to that can catch out. For instance climb to 3000ft, slow the aircraft down to about 80 Knots pun on some flap, make a 30 degree banked turn in either direction it does not matter. now fly round an object, (Could be your house for instance) looking down into the hole admiring what you see. In the mean time pull the stick back gentle and hold it for while. Soon the aircraft will stall and fall into the hole (not so) the top wing will stall first and the aircraft will violently turn upside down away from the turn, it will go into a steep dive or even a spin. Even the best pilots can take 750ft to catch this stall beginers a lot more. Now imagine that you are turning finals to land and you have the same circumstances you get this same stall there (where it happens most), there is no room to catch it and bang you make a perfect short strip landing on the nose in just a few feet. That is one of the commomist accidents is aviation particularly with the newly passed pilots. If you buy a plane get the experience to fly it. Enjoy it relly is good fun. Mike Collins
Better still, 2 decent sized turbine engines.... Well, I'm sitting about 50 metres from Hawker Pacific's Bankstown office, shall I just drop in to place the order for Rob? I'll order the wood 'n leather interior, to go with the VW - er, Bentley. Should get a little change from 4 big ones, AUD. 6 months wait, I'm told. Plenty of time to get the easy stuff out of the way - like learning to fly it.
Rob, failing a Twin Cockpit Spitfire with your beloved Merlin power, you'll probably get a godd trade in for your Boxer on one of these: http://www.piaggioaero.com/en/media/ferrari.php
there's nothing wrong with renting a car...let's just get that straight. what's funny, though, is when someone who rents them makes fun of others for doing it...or acts like they don't. hey scud...how are ya?
