    hi all

i have agreed a price with Dan at stebro for a full system ( manifolds, high flow cats and back box ) for my 355.
there seems to be no-one here in the uk that has this system, and i am looking for as much advice as possible from anyone whom has fitted this system.
it seems as though quite a few of you have bad impressions of stebro, but i am hoping that there are happy people out there also.
i would really like opinions on how the system sounds, how it fitted, things that have went wrong, and certainly more info on this possible heat issue from the manifolds causing problems.
over here, there is the snobbery of tubi and capristo, but i fancied something different; however, i don't want a pile of problems either!
i look forward to some input....

Make sure you have everything in writing...many including myself have been exposed to undue problems dealing with Stebro.

    Good luck,

I don't even think that would make a difference unless you are going to spend time going to civil court if something goes wrong. My opinion-----There are be many other great sounding systems to deal with Stebro and there pisspoor customer service...

Go with a x-ost maranello from Ricambi. There are also a couple of sponsors here who make some aftermarket headers for the 355

I was looking at Stebro test pipes for a Porsche and they look like something a muffler should could fabricate in about an hour.

Can't speak for this particular kit, but it tarnished my view of Stebro.

Did you ever go with Stebro's system?; I'm thinking of doing the same, there are mix reviews about them here on FChat.

I am very happy with the sound, fit and price of my Stebro Muffler. Customer service not so much.

Do you have Ceramic coaters in UK? If not I recomend shipping directly to Jet-hot for coating. Improved looks greatly and I have had my exhaust three years and it is still holding up.

Quicksilver in the UK fabricated my headers also great price and fit. When I called and asked if they could do headers they said, yes I think we have a set of plans up in the attic somewhere but with shipping thru customs and all it'll be about ten weeks. Well, they were delivered 10 days after that phone call.

Pics, before and after ceramic coating, I lost the picture of muffler before coating.

Stebro know they have a customer relations problem and are addressing it now. I have their system on my 456M GT and it sounds awesome! Have also fitted manifolds and muffler to a 308 GT4 which has improved performance and sound no end. The manifolds are
coated as well. I have built up a good relationship with them and am now offering their systems throughout the UK and Europe. This way there is stock this side of the pond and we take care of the customer directly. It seems to be working well. My two pennyworth.

I used to tell people that if they could get around the customer service part Stebro made a good product at a very fair price. Since then though they have nearly doubled thier prices on just about everything and I could not in good conscience recommend anyone deal with them.

That said, I love the stebro exhaust on my 308. I was one of the lucky ones that had no fit issues and only one failry minor customer service problem. But I also bought mine before the price jump!

I mentioned something about the price of the manifolds they are now selling being out of line and was pretty roundly critcized for it. Sorry but I still just can't see $3,500 for a set of headers for a 308!!

I have installed Stebro cats on my 1997 F355 Spider. Stebro was very easy to work with and their price was very reasonable compare to others. The fit was perfect, and I get no check engine warning lights. Now the best part is the new sound I get out of the OEM exhaust at around 3500 RPM on any gear. I will try to get a sound sample in the next couple days; I think you guys here will like it.

Hello there,I have just been through a frustrating two months of confusing escuses and empty promises from Dan Petschenig only to end up with the wrong headers and out 600$...and he WILL not pay me back all he WILL do is lie that he will...HORRIBLE BUISNESS MAN AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN..and through further research has done this exact same thing to MANY others...STAY AWAY FROM STEBRO EXHAUST.
