    Boy meets girl. Boy starts business. Boy buys Ferrari. Boy has everything he ever wanted. Girl divorces boy. Boy gives up half of everything including future revenue from business. Boy tries to hang on to Ferrari. Boy realizes that money sitting under cover in garage is better spent invested in business. Boy decides to sell Ferrari... for now.

    It's a 97 F355B. I'm the 4th owner, 28K. No 30K yet. Any suggestions on the best/fastest way to sell the car? Consignment? Ebay? Hemmings? Prices seem all over the board and the Market Letter seems to be overly optimistic. I bought the car locally 2.5 years ago, so I didn't have to deal with any of the long-distance BS. Just not sure where to turn first... Any suggestions?

    Boy give 50% to girl and 50% to irs. Boy got nothing. Sell business give up 50% proceeds to girl. Cut all obligations to girl start clean. Then only partner is irs.

    Tried that. Lawyers shut that one down. Judge ordered market analysis and i had to pay 5 years worth of "value" at final judgement. Judge said one more year of marriage and I would have had to pay for the rest of her life!

    Sorry to hear that dude; tough situation especially for kiddos...

    It does take a while to sell any Ferrari's, the market isn't huge for them - especially right now. If I were going to do it I'd list in the online sites - ebay, autotrader, and here. The car won't actually sell on Ebay but it may help some potential buyers to contact you. You'll get another one someday :D

    97 Rosso Corsa/Tan. 28K. Challenge grill. Clean history. Brand new Pilot Sports all around. Dash perfect. Little bubbling on AC panel, rest of console nice. Previous owner replaced right side header. I replaced both cat ECUs. Needs 30K major.

    Sorry to hear that, particularly about the kids. :( Here in VA, judges are very conservative but in the few cases I've got to know of, I must say their judgment was quite balanced.

    #1). Don't get married.

    #2). If you are married and getting a divorce make sure she gets the toys and you get the cash. Easiest way to get immediate market value.

    Never fall in love with a toy, investment, house or ___________(you fill in black).

    I live in Cali, and it's just as bad, if not worse here. Here they almost always get the house, the kids, and half your cash especially if you screw up bigtime (CA real-estate is crazy). Now I don't think I'll ever get hitched, especially after hearing your story. Ain't no woman worth having to sell my 355 AND giving up half of my future earnings...

    No one falls inlove and plans a divorce for the future. I thought my world ended when I got divorced (in Cali!) the first time. The second was a little easier with the experience from the first. Third one is definitely a keeper! My advice next time (or in cuneo's future 1st time), pre-nups!!!

    Sorry to hear dude. I've also been there, done that 8 years ago. Believe me when I say, your best years are ahead. Take your time and get your **** together. You'll have another Fcar someday, probably sooner than you think.
