Alex, The last time you posted this nonsense it was regarding your so called high performance headers and Joe apologized for not proof reading prior to posting. Since then did you receive sanction from Ferrari or just another one of Fabspeed's unsubstantiated claims?

Correct... they don't "comply" with anything. Nor does the HyperFlow "comply", or a cat you make from pieces you find on your own. Period. The only "compliance" is factory issued stuff which passed DOT certification when the car was legally allowed importation to the U.S.A.

It's a moot point, and not even a sales tactic... every single 360 is out of standard warranty. The federally mandated warranty on emissions equipment is still in force, but it wouldn't be applicable in this circumstance. If you think Ferrari will buy you a new engine because of a failure of an aftermarket item (after your warranty has expired), you're wrong.

If I'm shooting myself in the head with regard to HyperFlow cat sales, fine. I'd rather people have the facts necessary to make an informed purchase. I love the HyperFlow products -- and so do 99% of our customers. They work as advertised. They produce power. They sound great. They keep things cool. They save weight. They look nice.

    Kindly,
    Daniel

you are correct for the most part. i test drove a stradale that i believe had fab speed high-flow cats (not hyper-flow cats). as i recall, the guy bought the stradale and then had his mechanic install the high-flow cats before he ever drove the car. therefore, he did not have any prior "seat of the pants" experience to compare against after the new cats were installed. however, he did tell me that his mechanic told him that he also noticed a loss of torque at the low end. when i drove his stradale i definitely felt the difference at the low end. of course, this is all "seat of the pants" but i have two stradales that i drive every day with a total of over 30,000 miles. so perhaps my butt dyno is be a bit more sensitive than some other butt dynos out there... i also have a friend who is a tech guy at ferrari, and he also told me that high flow cats would result in a loss of low end torque. don't shoot the messenger. i'm just putting my opinion and observations out there for consideration. this may not be practical, but if possible try to locate someone in your area who has a stradale and high flow cats. then ask him to please let you drive the car for about 5 minutes. see what your own butt dyno says.

btw, the stradale with the high-flow cats that i drove may have also needed to adjust the PIS (point of initial slippage) to reduce some of the clutch slippage. there is a surprisingly significant difference in the way the stradale drives when the PIS is set properly. in my experience, this difference can be as significant as the difference in the way the car drives in race mode compared to non-race mode.
