Pushing the front bumper back (in) to Euro standards. Does anyone remember the thread for doing that? I remember something about puncturing the gas section.

    Remove the bumper shock.
Drill a 1/4 " hole in the chamber. (use a press if you have one)
    Drain all the oil
Completely clean and grind the area free of any rust, debris or oil.
Push in the shock to the desired depth. (about 2")
Weld the shock completely around to keep it in place.
    Reassemble shock to bumper
While returning the bumper to it's home, be careful of the horns. I had to move mine into a vertical position.

Depending on your car, the bumper shocks may be gas-filled, not oil filled. My QV's were gas-filled.

Is the rear bumper pushed back as well on Euro cars or just the front?

    Thanks.

I didn't weld mine when I did it to the GT4. I tapped and used a set screw in the original position, and the compressed position. (Two hole positions). That way, IF, you ever wanted to go back for a concours event or something original, you could do so.

I think the thread I had started was EuroUS Bumper Mod, or something like that.
