Driveway issue

the 360/430 has a much longer overhang than your Porsche. Expect to have more problems scraping with the ferrari

 

The definitive answer is "maybe"...............

If all else fails, you could always move.............

 

Can't answer your P-car statement, but if you can "translate" this to other cars maybe this will help.
My driveway has a fairly decent hill to it. '93 300ZX with a fairly long nose.... always scrapes. '06 G35.... doesn't scrap.
360 doesn't scrape if I'm VERY careful, although much more typical for it to scrape every so slightly.

Wonder if there's an online conversion for p-car to 300zx to g35 to 360.

 

Agreed... my 911 is considerably shorter and more "stubby" than the 360/430. I've never scraped my 911's nose. I have my 430 at factory height and multiple times I've scraped the nose of my car on the road as I'm driving (admittedly on mountain roads at speed). Driveways have always been a slow, sharp angle. If you can figure out how to get in/out with only minimal rubbing, a good set of skid-plates will absorb most of the impact and once you have the holes drilled, you can swap them out when they get too ratty looking.

The 360 still has pretty good clearance. If you can hit the drive way at any angle, that will help. Also, I've seen people put down a few inches of 3/8 or 1/2 steel plate to bridge the worst of the angle.

I had a 997S Cab and it would scrape, but not nearly as easily as my 360. Like ray suggests; I approach at a 90 degree angle, putting one tire on the driveway/curb before the nose ever reaches the bump--NO PROBLEMS. You must be careful, though.

 

I scraped the 997GT3 but not the 430.

 

My driveway is steep too. My 997 made it easy but 360 scrapes it good if I have a passenger even at an angle. The only way is without the passenger and at 90 degrees and dead slow at the decline. AF.

 

i'm surprised that i can get my stradales in (and out) of my driveway (gulp). it makes me nervous, but i make it without scraping! the front right tire actually lifts completely off the ground about 10 inches!!!

I had the same worries

My 911 Cab made it in and out of the drive no problem but my Spider is significantly lower and barely makes it on an angle without scrapping.

 

Back in. Although reverse in an F1 wont be very fun. Def just back up the drive if you get a 6 spd though.

 

What a progression I'm on my 2nd 300ZX, soon to have a 350Z or G35 (whatever I can get a better deal on) and keeping my fingers crossed for a 360 before I'm to old to drive.

I own a 430 which cannot get up my drive way and when wanting to fix it was told at least $10,000... Found a great deal for around $250 (for 2 ramps) with water slots undeneath (so can be left permanently at bottom of driveway). Best

I wouldn't bother being pedantic but two people have said it............don't you mean 45 degrees - or something much less than 90 degrees? 90 degrees is perpendicular and means you are approaching the driveway straight on which is a sure formula for scraping the nose off.

 

I tried those before modifyng the approach...
Those didn't work at all.
Now I use them for stoppers in the garage
