seriously, the excuses has to stop. but something tells me there will be plenty more when Massa doesn't live up to your billing this year... still blaming the pit crew for him running the red? contract extensions? no official #1? err, there was never an official #1 during Shumi's reign either.... geez, weak, really weak.
seems like most south american fans get angry when it comes to Kimi vs Massa like shumi vs RB. Anyway, I can't with for this season to kick off and it is going to be very interesting year for sure.
There's one thing that appears to be certain. If Massa wins the WDC this season, crow will be given out in such plentiful amounts that the species will likely become extinct! I know I will be partaking in the delectable fine dish myself because I feel that the only way Massa can win the WDC is if all the planets and stars align...oh, and also what Dave said that Kimi, Hami, Kova and FA all decide to quit F1. Regardless, it's sure gonna be fun to watch what happens!
Well, that red light is something he probably should have caught -- although he wasn't the only one that missed it. But the fuel bungle and the tires in japan were team issues. I still saw some "areas for improvement" from Massa in '07 (coming from the back takes a bit more aggressiveness), but overall I think he did a fine job in '07. I'm looking forward to see if he improves further in '08. (With or without Schumi giving him pep talks.) But I have a feeling that Massa winning a WDC wouldn't silence some of the detractors here. To some. he'll aways be the "wild child" of his rookie Sauber year.
Hey, remember when this thread is about Massa only being able to drive with Electronic Aids, and at the very least, proving that he is having a harder time adjusting to the new car sans gizmos. This is proof positive that Kimi, as written, outshone the whole F1 field with his instinctive ability to drive a racing car. I personally can't wait for this season either. Kimi's new found love of the sport again, in a rulebook where he can clearly shine, and to defend his WDC. I predict Hamilton falling off, no doubt winning some, but I think an un-aided F1 car will be the beast that it once was, when it took ANYONE 3 years to get up to podium finishes, let alone wins. If Hamilton can hang or outshine people still this year, I'll give him a round of applause... 2nd behind Kimi is still commendable.
Pls refrain from using such expressions. Yeah right. Each user on Ferrarichat is ultimately responsible for the content of his/her posts. That includes copyrights for text and pictures. Despite giving autosport.com credit, copying huge amounts of their articles is borderline at best. Just like people who post tons of pictures they have no copyrights to. The proper way is to point a link to the story. Of all the reports about pre season testing, this is probably one of the most significant ones, if not the most important one because it is very thorough and deals with essence of car control without TC. I can't think of a more poignant analysis. Coming from you, the insult has lost its bite.
Between Bahrain times of Massa's pole, and Kimi's simulation sans traction gimmicks, the difference is actually around 2 seconds. Hahah. We'll see if they run the same program as each other come tomorrow. Could be very eye-opening to some people.
they were running different programs, but hey... Unofficial Wednesday times from Bahrain: 1. Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari, 1:30.455 2. Felipe Massa, Ferrari, 1:31.293 3. Jarno Trulli, Toyota, 1:32.145 4. Kamui Kobayashi, Toyota, 1:32.265
So, yesterday Kimi runs a 1:30.593 in Bahrain (with no TC) while running 77 laps including a full race simulation. Massa in last season's Bahrain GP (with TC) achieved pole with a 1:32.652 and (IIRC) set the fastest race lap of 1:34.067. Am I missing something??
Just missing the part where Massa's crew is going to come on here and defend the difference in barometric pressure, track surface temp, wind direction, the hours of sleep Massa had, the alignment of the Big Dipper compared to Orion, oh and then probably something about loyalty to the team.
