    It looks like Optimus Prime.

Also a knock of of the new Chevy Malibu, but really really ugly.

    Downhill from what?

As a hardcore car guy, I honestly can't tell any of the Acuras apart anyway, other than that one of them is kind of an SUV.

The TL and TSX are pretty attractive vehicles in my opinion. . . but the RL has looked pretty bland ever since they stopped calling it a Legend.

Supposedly Honda is due for a some cool stuff soon, an S2000 replacement and a high-end grand touring sportscar, but I haven't heard much lately on either.

Looks like the new TSX will kind of have a grill similar to this, but it looks pretty good actually.

Honda in throwing in a Diesel and AWD for the U.S market. I think this will be a winner, unless the A4 TDI comes out. If that does, I couldn't care less about Acura. I'm much more of a german guy/

Honda will only get my interest through the NSX. Everything else...id rather ride there bikes than drive there cars.

As an Acura owner I'm not fond of this cubic design period.

lol, what a pos. How can a company that designed a car as beautiful as the NSX make something like that?

Well, with only a single car in the company's entire line up, that actually has any excitement at all ( S2000 ) , Honda has to be one of the blandest car companies thare are. As for going down hill, I don't think they were ever uphill (early roadsters, NSX and S2000 exempted). They make great toasters on wheels, simple apliances that that last a long time. No passion, no excitement.

For 2008, RL owners can now opt for the "Brown Paper Bag" edition car bra/mask. :) Grille looks like a giant bottle opener to me.

Ever since they killed the NSX, Legend, & Integra....Acura has gone nowhere but downhill.

I used to have a pristine 1994 Acura Legend sedan, I should have never sold it :(

The S2000 might be a 4 door from what i heard...

    Which would be stupid IMO...

Maybe their marketing genius thinks he needs to compete with Mazda RX?

Yes, and such a sales success, too.

I have often wondered why Honda was never able to equate their considerable engine technology (and what used to be some very clean & attractive styling) into a decent little 2 door sports coupe (Lexus SC350 like?)...

I kind of believe that the Honda culture wanted SO badly to hold on to their front wheel drive when most of the industry finally gave up on it except for price leaders (even Audi!)...that maybe all the "car" guys there drifted away elsewhere.

Styling too, it looks like from this.

Acura use to be a pretty cool car. It has become too civilized, they are making grocery getters now.

The NSX looked good because it was sitting in the showroom next to a bunch of dull "Is that a Honda or an Acura?" sedans. Park it next to a row of Ferraris or Lamborghinis and it looks bland.

Ironically, I think Honda's best work is at the "low" end with the Civic. For an economy car, it really holds its own compared to its (wretched) competition in that segment. I owned three Civics at various times for commuting, and while you wouldn't confuse them with an Aston Martin I always thought they were reasonably stylish and very tasteful for <$15K.

True enough, but it still breaks my heart to think what they could have done just given RWD with that little 4 or V6.

Alfa GTV 2000 for a later day, so to speak.

I have 168,000 miles on my 2003 Accord 4cyl, adding up all service records, scheduled , nothing unscheduled that wasn't fixed under warranty and tires it has cost less than $0.02 per mile to operate. If that is downhill than I'll take another one from the bottom of the hill but I think I will have this one for a long time.
