    UT,
    Congrats on new ownership!

I'm sure you knew that Dave spent a lot of effort (e.g. anguish, sweat, tears, joy, etc) getting that car to its peak condition and then you cherry picked it off him!

    Happy motoring,

    Scott

PS - 8 BOXES OF PARTS AND ALL ACCESORIES? Dave was sure a stand up guy to include all these, many items are priceless and usually wouldn't be included in the deal if it were an average dealer selling.

Nice choice Dean, nice home for her Dave. I do believe it is #3 of the seven signs of the Apocalypse that Uro pulled trigger. I wondered what happened when Dave said Dino was gone.
Coupe Dino's are the prettiest. Both of you clowns keep adding cylinders until you hit 12, OK?

    Hmmm....

He's got a new gearbox with maybe 1K miles on it. A Brand new clutch, and about 180 RWHP.

I'm not so sure he's ready for that challenge yet, but when he is, run for cover.

They belong with the car. Original parts that were upgraded, but necessary if he ever wants to make it truly, "original" again, plus spares that I could have sold on ebay, but didn't seem like the right thing to do. It took me three years to collect some of those parts, why torture the Dick Doc by making him do the same thing.

    You are a cruel man.

(For others, I recently moved and lost The Dream Garage/Workshop and now have a crappy little 2+1 slot so small I gotta stack the cars. :( )

Contratulations! 04798 is such a beautiful car. I will never, ever forget the sound she made in the old, stone tunnel down the street from Algar Ferrari, when Dave took me for a drive. Makes me feel all warm and fuzz to know she's yours now.

Nobody deserves it more than you. It's your Carma (sic).

hi,i may have missed this but just wanted to ask if the seats were renovated or re-trimmed:the seats in my boxer are in similar but not quite so faded condition & would like to improve them without re-trimming if possible.

I replaced the seats 4 years ago with new from Matt at www.reoriginals.com. I attempted to rejuvenate the existing seats without success.

There are before and after shots of the black (Original) seats in this thread. I spent a considerable amount of time on them. They did look much better when I was done. The hardest part was trying to replace the totally destroyed foam that was in the seats. I didn't have a lot of success there, but they were improved.

As to the cleaning and dyeing, I used the stuff sold by Leatherique.com for that, including their leather dye. If you search here for leatherique there are several threads on using their products. That part was not bad, but the re-stuffing was not so good.

    Dave, perfect timing

Foam for the Dino seats. Did you have any luck sourcing these?

Have tried Matt at re-originals and awaiting a reply. Italiancar parts list them for a whopping $875 per pair.

None availalbe in the UK but i am awaiting a reply from a guy in Italy who seems to know where they can be purchased. Other than that i am *****d

    Cheers

    Tony

I had a great guy completely redo my seats for somewhere around $800 or 1000 bucks(for both), he is located in CT ...I can email you pics of mine & you can see for yourself...I will recheck my bills but I think thats right...take advantage of the worthless dollar and have it done in the good old USA! you can probaly throw in a round trip plane ticket and still be cheaper than what you are considering over there. The guy is about 1 hour 15 mins from JFK!!!

that's just redoing the stuffing/foam, and not the leather, correct?
