I love the S.A Octoberfest and Summer Ale. Regualr Sammy isn't that great, but I wouldn't consider it Ear Wax... that's harsh!

    Gentlemen,

I am surprised no one has mentioned Bell's Oberon... some of the best out there. Mainly distributed in the mid west. Brewed in Kalamazoo Mi.

Sam Adams is known for using lots of hops. Thats the aftertaste you have. It can be kinda strong until you get a taste for it.

Delicious once but a bit "fruity" one after the other.

I bought a case once, now I just get it in restaurants.

    I'd rather have "Moose Drool".

The Octoberfest edition is the bomb. Cherry Wheat is pretty good too.

Pick up one of their mixed 12 packs and figure it out- I'm not a huge fan of the original formula but they pretty much make something for everyone if you dig a little deeper.

Bells makes lots of different beers. Some of the best out there. Menu can be found here: http://www.bellsbeer.com/index.php/brands.html besides Oberon I would recommend their Winter White Ale, Cherry Stout, adn their Third Coast Beer. There are some on the menu that I have never heard of before...they must be brewed in VERY limited quantities as a few of the local party stores around me like to extol their great knowledge of brewed beverages and they don't carry it. As a matter of fact the last time I was in the party store closest to my house they had 2 bottles of SA Utopius (one was reportedly sold but the other was for sale) but only about half of the Bell's beers on the menu.

I agree, Samual Adams is crow crap in a bottle. I'm going to stick to Bass Ale the never changing standard in good beer. Maybe in an adventurous mood pour a little Guiness on top.

Fat Tire is best on tap. For some reason it has a strange after-taste out the bottle.

    Fosters is absolutely horrible stuff.

How exactly do you know what a cat's ass tastes like?

Sam Adams Winter Brew is friggin awesome!!! Used to love drinking that after a long day of snowmobiling.

Sam Adams Boston Lager is ok, but not great. And not worth the extra $$.

But my favorite beer is Molson Ice :) It's cheap, available anywhere, little stronger than most other beers (5.6% ALC./VOL), and is very drinkable!

Since this is an automotive forum I'm surprised nobody has mentioned "old motor oil" or "old gear oil"

I've had "old motor oil" and it is a lot like Guiness.

(I'm drunk on Labatts as I write this)

IIRC Pap had an opinion about Fosters.

A guy that I met from Cairns told me that Fosters is sort of a joke to the locals, not popular there and primarily exported here.

I went to the liquor store a couple of weeks ago and asked about Utopias, how to get my hands on it. I'm just very interested in tasting it. They don't have any 2007's (very few were sent to our local area), they are $175/bottle though. He said if I wanted, he would look for it. They did have a few 2005's leftover for about $245/bottle.

I'm interested, but not that interested.

I'll have to agree about Sam Adams. I've had a few different brews and most tasted like crap. Fat Tire is my GoTo beer if it's on tap. My favorite beers are: Żywiec, Tyskie, and Okocim. Hard to find, so I stock up when I can.

Fat Tire is pretty good. Except I only buy it at 7-11. There, it's $3 a bottle but bars charge $8! I also like most Belgian Whites.

Aussies don't like Fosters, they call it camel's piss.

Best Australian beer is Cooper's Extra Stout :) :) and Victoria Bitter is pretty good too!!!

Other than that, give me a nice Canadian Lager and I'll be happy. :)
