I'm not going to get into a stupid girls fight but will say that there are clearly double standards. Like I said quite a while ago, either have rules that are enforced or don't have any at all. In god we trust, all others, stricktly cash!

Not that I give a Rats about any of this nonsense; but I feel obliged to point out that A26 boy IS a real person. He worked for Philly about the time that Moretti's car was in the shop. Seemed like a nice, if somewhat eccentric bloke. He left to go sit in the fire towers in our national parks. Now whether Phil is currently using the ID, I neither know nor care. Since oil gate and PPI keeps coming up and he has no right of reply, would you blame him? FWIW JM, if you are thinking of me as Phil's cash cow you are way off the mark. The profit on my annual expenditure wouldn't keep the place ticking for a week.

it's not that easy. he kept on coming out with so much crap (not just about oilgate) that i was often compelled to jump in to quell the bs. he doesn't like be told he's wrong.

hehe. sadly...it's not just a male thing. i won't bother going into too much detail, as it's all searchable, but most of the crap he spoke was just wrong, or would be classified as upselling. when you get your car back, i'll point it all out to you. (the upselling...not what's wrong) it's what a mechanic does to go from getting by to making a really good living. i spose i can't blame him for it really. he reminds me a lot of a guy called joe viola. he was an absolute master of it. i've only experienced two places that don't upsell in a way that makes it sounds like a must do :- graeme vincent automotive black stallion motors. i can't remember the number of times i've heard these guys say "well...you can do this, but quite frankly, i wouldn't do it if it were my car" all i can remember about phil is things like "you should put on this $25k shocker system...it'll take SO much off your lap times" and..."don't worry about your oil leak...we'll fix it when you do your engine rebuild" of course everyone knows i'm a proven liar and fraudster, so you can ignore everything i've said (and not just in this post) but.......i digress.
that PPI was done over 2 years ago and yet some people stil lwant to keep bringing it up, I bought the car, fixed all the problems and have moved on but some here want to keep bringing it up and I will not have rubbish said about something 99% of the people here have NO idea about and should just shut up about, it's none of their business but they want to use it to get him back. And just for the record, FF and I were still friends after the PPI (emails to prove it), it was another personal issue that caused our falling out, not that the issue is anyone's business : _________________________________________________ Ok, so basically, it's just the rear main leaking then. Not surprising, afetr trundling around Toorak and Richmond for months, and then getting a decent drive. some other people like to bring it up as well after talking to someone plus I just went through my emails between FF and I and found this snippet : Nobody but you and I have the PPI AFAIK. And it'll stay that way where I'm concerned. well let's see, DD, A26, EFIOZ have seen the PPI and I know I didn't show them and their interpretation matches FF's to a tee
Been there, done that, with Peter Starr (ex HRT head engineer) with my HSV. I had an oil to water heat exchanger put in and going around Honda at Phillip Island all the alarms went off. Looked in the mirror and all I could see was white smoke. You know the feeling. My lifes over, cars dead. lol Blew an oil line. Just straight out bad engineering. I had a power steering cooler put in and that leaked as well. He blamed someone else who had put in a modified K frame. I was there when that was installed. Conclusion he is no longer in business. So perhaps we have both experienced bad suppliers and bad experiences. As mentoned previously I am happy with phils work to date on my car. I always judge a person myself pp. Been a member of FCA for 5 years and heard comments about you as well. But until I meet you in person i have an open mind. I still look forward to this coffee.
