We kept her revs low 6.5K as she's 40 years old and not really broken in yet. We tuned her for torque as on the street that's really what you want. We have a nice flat torque curve that starts low which is what we hoped for. At 6.5K we're making about 165 ft/lbs and 175 HP which is right where we want to be. Keep in mind this is a 2 liter motor that in it's day allegedly made 210 HP at 8K. She weighs about 1400 lbs so this should be fine. It's interesting to note that 002C's 1947 2 liter motor makes about 100 HP at similar revs.

We're going to put her in the Wind Tunnel which should be interesting and enable us to adjust her wings.

Oops - the "quote" didn't work on my previous post: I was referring the cost a Tipo 33 Stradale, not Jim's car!

It depends on History and Rarity. A Targa Florio winning Race car would be the one to chase. A T33 Stradale would go for LARGE $.

I think the Shields and Red were a joke especially as this one is also know as "The Yellow Dino".

    Jim,

Which wind tunnel are you going to use? Will you be going for all the data acquisition and have the ability to do diagonal testing?

    Jim,

Didn't know you were going to use Pf; thought it might have been one of the US facilities.

Does Pf do the ink on the surface to get the relative airflow speed across the various surface points? Will you rotate the car to get cross wind data?

They have computer manipulated surfaces that pop up and move to simulate a lot of different things including passing, following, overtaking, etc. When we put my Enzo into the tunnel we really learned a lot that helped us in designing P 4/5.
    That part was very interesting.
