It didn't really. It just got louder and louder inside the car, even with the windows up.

Still working on a new sound clip...

Isn't the shorter one louder since it has less of a silencer?

Not sure....I had asked X-OST to make my exhaust just like HANS'. His was originally delivered with no brackets and they said that since he purchased his, they had taken in a EURO GT4 original to use as a template. You can see how mine is different. Hard to say how they compare. Too bad its such a long drive to the Netherlands. :)

Well, bottom line is that we both like our mufflers a lot, so it's a moot point how they compare, really, isn't it? ;)

    Yours sure looks good too!!!

    (as does mine ;))

Here's a link to the sound of the X-OST on You Tube.

I'm a little worried about the smoke....sign of ring issues or could it just be the 28deg day? Anyway, enjoy.

Sounds like a sportscar! You should be very happy with it. And it looks wonderful. Good show. Don't be too concerned about the slight smoke. It looks mostly like extra fuel anyhow.

    THANKS!!!!!

I'm not worried about the smoke. I figure it is either unburnt fuel or oils from the exhaust. When I got the car ~1 year ago, the Leakdown/compression numbers were excellent.
I shot this video the 1st time I started the car after it was on...:)

Despite the difference in size of manhood of our cars (sorry Chris, I meant the cars, not us ;)), they sound the same. If I close my eyes when looking at your video, I have to suppress the urge to dash out and whoo away that sob that is revving up MY car :D

Now go out and DRIVE it!!! :D

Looking at the difference in size from Jims exhaust and Hans I think I rememer reading somewhere that there were two or three options that you could go for with the X-Ost from quietest to loudest.I think one of them was called the Le Mans option which is supposed to be the loudest.Jim and Hans did you pick any specific option?

I had asked X-OST to make my exhaust like HANS'. They told me that when they did HANS' they did not have an example of a '74 stock exhaust and made his from scratch. Right after they made his they were able to source an original 1974 GT4 exhaust and mine is made from that example. If you listen to his sound clips and mine the sound is very similar...

Thanks Jim.I just spoke to X-Ost and they told me there are 2 versions,Standard and Racing with the Racing being much louder.I am thinking about getting one and I'm just waiting on a quote for shipping from them.I got a quote from Mille Miglia which are made here in Sydney and the X-Ost seems to be about $600 cheaper excluding shipping.
