+1. I don't think this kid realizes what it REALLY takes to get to a top level motorsport. Much less F1. Those guys at running midpack are still the best in the world. I'm ranked 2nd out of the top 400 kart racers in our region. The 1st place guy doesn't even have a shot at progressing much or getting sponsors, and everyone else knows that, so we keep our real jobs.
I've got a track event coming up in a couple of weeks. Perhaps F1 driver and vintage racing specialist Casey can come out and teach me a couple of things.
What series do you race? I wonder if we have raced in the same series. I race the prokartchallenge series here in California, which Skusa owns.
Casey, If you can drive anything like these guys(which I highly doubt) than you may have a shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q8ZNkhxT04
I doubt it too..BUT..he can speed in residential neighborhoods and weave back and forth on a country road
Thats why "They" employed me. Alas, its for nought as due to EU anti-tobacco stance on advertising, I'm sad to inform you that along with the Prodrive F1 entry, Scuderia Virginia Slims Menthal F1 will wind down operations at their Easter Island base. Looks like I'm outta a job unless another bigtime sponsor can be found and logistics can be worked out from the island. Not too many carbon fibre retailers up in this neck of the woods.
The chance is honest and I have an open door. It is true that I am nobody from nowhere with less than a shoestring budget. Then WHY do you find me such a threat that you are all wasting time on me? If you are a racer and have an opinion, I hope you will introduce yourself in person next time at the track. Otherwise if you feel I am just some wacko looking for cheap fame, then you're best to forget all about me. See you at the track, Casey
Casey, No one is saying that you are wacko (ok, maybe some people are).. but we just want you to show some of your racing credentials before you can make such bold claims. And most important of all, who are they THEY who have approached you? Keep in mind: Simon from American Idol doesn't have to sing to figure out who else can sing. So, we don't have to be racers to figure out who can race. We just have to know enough about racing. ~shahedc .
Maybe he was trying his take on Victory by Design, where Alan de Cadenet puts Ferraris through the paces on open roads. Dunno what hurts more, good ole shotgun or Spitfire retracts aiming for your head!
Ok I have an idea who 'THEY' are... Could be Team Force India! I was happy to find their direct contact line, apparently they are available 24/7 to answer questions. 888 236 3355.
Casey, If my Nigerian investment comes through, and I have every reason to believe it will, let's talk. Bob
Haha, you joined 6 months ago and finally found something interesting enough to get a post out of you! Welcome.
Given the nature of this thread, I am not sure I should put the names of these people on here. Some serious players. If you are honest, have worthwhile interest, or actually need to know. Then call me in person and I will be happy to discuss this. Otherwise, I will not add to your fodder. I don't want these people to have to deal with this useless backlash. Sincerely, Casey PS. As for my race cars. I have only ever DNSed in one race. That was in a FF owned by someone else that I didn't build. My cars are very reliable and go as fast as the driver and his pathetic wallet will allow. Give a poor guy a break.
Wow, that is some driving video. Watch the flat out 308 clip right after watching this one for a reality check.
OK, I understand, based on what we're putting you thru, not wanting to reveal the "Who". Then how about the "What" you have done to be noticed. Circuit records, poles, wins, etc...
This is like watching someone being slowly pulled into a chipper-shreadder. I want to feel sorry for the guy, but I can't! It's his own damn fault for sticking his hand in here!
dude that is awesome have u killed b 4 it sounds like you have the eye of the tiger simonf40, although i am obviously a racer with skillz i would listen to your tuetlidge as well so please do not disrespect me and one day maybe you casey and me can all race the hpde togeth r
What's your schedule? I'll be dropping in to some ALMS and Grand Am races this year. With your FIA International B licence, I'm sure you'll be competing and I'm looking forward to meeting you in person.
