Is there a place here we can sell random Ferrari or other diecast?
I have a few things I want to get rid of.

I don't want to start a post like that really, without the admin's permission.

I wish there was some sort of sale/trade subforum in the Collectables, Literature & Models section, that would be sweet. I realize that there is FerrariAds, and that's fine - but I think a subforum for selling/trading would be great - and it would be good for the folks like VTC as well - perhaps they could even give sponsors of collectables a sticky thread that'd always be at the top or something - an added bonus of being a sponsor... just my $.02

To further the idea, I think there would have to clear rules laid out for posting a sale/trade thread. Also, I'd hate to see non-subscribed members left out... but I think a way around that would be to use a certain post count, or length of membership - or combo, so that everyone could participate. I think it would be a great addition to my favorte site on the web!

I'm a member of several non-automotive forums that have a "trading post" sub forum and there are ways for paying members as well as non-paying members to be involved. I think this could be a really great addition to F-Chat, there are a lot of us active collectors and it'd be awesome to have this added functionality here at F-Chat.

I also agree with this idea, i have several Ferrari items/ Non Ferrari Items i would like to get rid of aswell. And im sure i would interested in what others had to offer. Its hard to cycle through thousands of ferrariads.com listings to possible find something.

I'm talking to Rob about the possibility of making a section or two if FerrariAds.com that are a little more specific for just this kind of stuff.

If, instead of having to subscribe there was a small listing fee, payable by paypal only, would that work? Suppose, just like the newspaper, there was a $2.00 listing fee for an ad for a misc. item on FerrariAds, no cars, just the other stuff that we don't see much of now on there.

Collectibles, parts, books, manuals, whatever, but just a quick pop from your paypal account for each listing of a couple bucks.

    Would that be worth it?

No flames on this please, I'm just floating the idea, it's mine, not Rob's.

    Dave

I'd rather see the fees built in to the cost of membership, or additional add-on to membership. That way I'm not sending paypal for a couple of bucks everytime I want to sell a $10 item. Perhaps non-subscribers could pay a fee, I dunno.

The other thing is, I like the idea of a collectables sub-forum, becuase it's right here, you don't have to leave the forums. I'd use a modified FerrariAds about as much as I use it now (read: rarely)

I replied to all pm's, if I missed anyone please pm me again.

About the trade/sales section for collectables.
I like the idea, but it would be nice if it was free for trades (trades only), and maybe a smaller fee for sales.
Also if some of us had multiple items for sale, like diecast for example, we could list them all in one post. That way we are not filling the site with so many posts, and easy access to your personal sales threads.
(example: $2.00 for the sale of 5-10 cars at a time for 1:18 and bigger or $1.00 for anything smaller then a 1:18 car)

I would not have a problem with paying 2 bucks for listing say...5 -10 cars at a time.

That sounds perfect. Maybe an extra few bucks a year for subscribed members and non-subscribed members pay a fee per transaction...

I would use whatever diecast trading section might be established.

i would pay as a seller, but i agree nopassn, if im going to pay 1-2 bucks per item to only get 10 bucks out of it, id rather just put it on ebay. But i would pay maybe 10-15 bucks for the year or something along those lines.
