I quit smoking...NOW WHAT?

It's real! It took many years of hard work, but I accomplished the impossible!

A big congratulations for quiting! It is a huge accomplishment.
The first week is the true test of your ability to fight the urge, if you even had them.
After this point, you are home free!
To whatever degree you think smoking was bad, multiply that by 100 at a minimum.

Trust me....I know.

And that gorgeous daughter of yours deserves a smoke free father.

Keep It up.

We will meet at an sgv brunch or at an fca or like function.

wow I missed this the first time around. Congratulations!!! I stopped a pack a day habit on Feb 17th of 1992 cold turkey. It was not easy, but something just clicked that I had to do it. I had urges to smoke for a full year afterwards, but managed to not give in. I know what you are going through it is not easy, but you will be SOO much happier in the long run!

It hasn't really been that difficult..

No major urges where I am fighting off running to the market to buy cigarettes.

I knew it would be easy It's a mind game, and my mind has G A M E !

How is the 'non-smoking' quest going my friend ?

 

I started going to the gym. I smoked for 8ish years and I'm still kind of young. all my friends started smoking, then seeing others do it, I realized how gross it is, and how much they smell. I started going to the gym and eating healthier and such and I lost the urge completely.

 

Going great! No urge to stink, I mean smoke, at all...

No weight gain...still shedding the lbs in the sgv !

I'll be 6'2" and 180 in NO TIME!

 

Chris the losing weight thing sounds great but how are you going to grow 2 inches

Chris, congrats I can relate. 7/22/07 I quit after 30 years. I was a true junkie. I mean it; a junkie.

Chantix is what did it for me. It took 3 tries, but I made it.
Don't give up if you smoke. Try again.
